I have not seen much... I kept following along here as much as possible but the lack of a 3D capable computer got to be where it was kind if like torture seeing what you kids were up to... Right now I have a fair lap top but my hard knock life has it working like 50% of the time. I've missed all of you too... this place, the debates, the incredible things created and worked on here. It's been 2 years since the shooting and I'm pretty much 100% minus 5 sections of my intestines, my gallbladder, my spleen and my appendix... my left leg has some nerve damage but all in all I'm good thanks to modern Medical science, brave men and women from emergency services like the ER docs, nurses, emts, firefighters and police. They were amazing. I did sneak out of the hospital after 6 days... but I felt like a certain nurse there didnt have my best interests at heart. I never went back and never had any more drugs for pain or infection after that day. I have to say if I had it to do all over I wouldn't change a thing... I'd get shot again in a heartbeat just so I could see this world the way I do now. The outpouring of support, the people I've met, the people I already knew that I got to know better... So many people have shown me the side of man that I had almost forgotten exited... I already had a live life for today attitude, but I was living those days for myself... the true meaning of life and the path to happiness and a fulfilling life is doing for others, be it man or beast... And anyone can have it... I'm not suggesting the clergy or the peace corps, just seeing someone in need or someone that could use a hand or an encouraging word and being that person not letting the next person do it but stepping up and being that person. And what may be more interesting is being in need yourself, asking for help or just allowing others to help you... helping people feels so great that you can give that feeling to someone else by simply accepting their help. I'm practically and technically homeless, my website is update is unfinished, I just barely keep my hosting going, my bike still isnt repaired from the shooting, I work cleaning hospital labcoats and curtains for a massive medical services company that pays all its Bill's very, very late so getting back on my feet has been a chore.. That said, I've never been so happy to be alive and comfortable in my own skin. The only thing I think would make me any happier would be having the housing projects and the comradery from this place again. This place always made me feel as if I were growing every day... learning, thinking, pushing my own boundaries professionally and personally. Seems like this plugin is no longer compatible with newer versions of SketchUp? It would be so cool to see it still working! In SU 2018 the toolbar is unresponsive too. For me it is one of the best plugins ever.

Let's see if it's the add_cpoint() method making an issue first... Easier that dabbling around in the Tool class point picking... Try this in the Ruby Console with an empty v2020 model... does it add all of the 10 cpoints at 1" x-intervals? Works OK on PC... model=Sketchup.active_model ents=model.active_entities 0.upto(9).each{|x|ents.add_cpoint(Geom;;Point3d.new(x,0,0))} If that works, then perhaps the Tool code is flaky ? e.g. does it set the active_model up each time it runs, as all current models on MACs use the same SketchUp - unlike PCs ??

I would suggest to have a look at the Plugins directory and clean up the LibFredo6 file and folder, check if there are old ones, and then re-install LibFredo6.

The author [JimF] has "unpublished" all of his plugins, including DrawHelix14.rb But there are others available... Both in the PluginStore and linked off to authors' sites...

It doesn't change much at all - under the hood the API still calls them 'layers'. Very similar to the way it still sees 'scenes' as 'pages' - changed because Layout arrived...

In this case why not keep also a 2017 Make version ? Versions can works together!

What steps did you take to install them? Did you restart SketchUp after installing them? Where are you looking for them in SketchUp? For QuadFace Tools did you also install the current TT_Lib filess? And for Curviloft did you installed the current LibFredo6 files?

ThruPaint is part of FredoTools. You need to install that to get ThruPaint. Make sure you also install LibFredo6.

You've probably posted in the old thread that relates to just this tool. The various 'EEby' tools were merged long ago into the "Extrusion Tools"... It works in all current versions of SketchUp - including v2020, although its guidance notes currently stop at v2019. Since v2017 it has become more prone to Bugsplats during very complex modeling operations, so "always-save-before-using"... Make sure the it's the latest version. Go here to check: https://flextools.cc/ Make sure SketchUp 2019 was installed correctly by right clicking on the downloaded installer file and clicking on Run as administrator. Then choose the repair option. Also make sure the latest version of SU2019 is installed from sketchup.com/download/all If after doing those things the error message still shows, contact the Flextools customer support for assistance.

Hi, There are many ways of computing the "center" of a surface. First: what kind of surface ? Planar, Nurbs, ruled surface ? Second: Center point can be the barycenter, centroid, average edges, average vertices, etc. Third: what kind of output do you want ? 3D coordinates, Lat/Lon coordinates... Regards
