Box, After having changed the position of the surface from horizontal to vertical, and changed the path from pointing downwards at an angle of about 42° to 0°, I also used the Scale tool to increase the size of the whole thing by 100; this appeared to make the FollowMeAndKeep Extension do what I wanted. Then I used the Scale tool to take me back to the original size; all was good. So, I have finally solved my problem and once again thank everyone for their help and suggestions. johnmtb

I discovered this gem too late.. It works for me in Sketchup 2019. Too bad it is not fully developed and looks abandoned. IT can be useful, even as in but, unfortunately, in a very limited way. Is there a similar plugin to force align ALL selected component/groups AND nested subgroups/subcomponents local Y+ axes to world Z+? That would be extremely handy when preparing models for game engines and similar stuff.. I'm searching everywhere with no luck..

You could do this sort of thing with Profile Builder 3 or you could use Divide CPoint which is available in the Plugin Store. I'd just make a stud component and copy it at the desired interval. That would save some time and effort. That also doesn't require an extension although the ninja thing would be to use the stud as a component in an assembly and use Profile Builder 3 to place them.

The plugin is touted as free, and it is a way this appears in the warehouse website. It is not fair. For free - You get almost nothing. If You want create some window and check the quality of profiles etc, you have to pay 100USD! For 100USD is just unprofitable. If You have to pay for each building component plugin 100USD, you wouln't earn your bread. It is much better to use sketchup importer for autocad bim libraries provided by windows producers. Draw double line fails to stay when using a double click or esc to terminate. bug splat just exits SU and ask for a report. To where ?? my dlin2 is dated 2/2/15 size 1,118 I do have a ruby console plugin but not sure of just what to do with it. dline is a possible way to create reveals on non solid.
