Curious of if you figured out how to do that. That process could make a lot of things possible. I've been looking for alternate ways to render sketchyphysics and seriously, good luck.

The problem comes from small segments. This is the problem with RoundCorner, as it is based on a pure geometrical approach. It may also an obscure bug. The zigzag artefacts disappear with an offset under 2mm. So there is no good solution except may be to scale up, as suggested by mitcorb to put the option "Strict respect of offset" ON but beforehands to try to eliminate the few small segments by adjusting the upper surface. FWIW, if the thing to which you are applying the texture is a component, you can set the component axes so their alignment will yield the desired orientation of the texture. Then you don't need to be changing the orientation of the model axes. Just open the component for editing and apply the texture.

Hello togehter, the problem is still there (Sketchup to x-file) I try the following things: 1.) If i use 3d-Rad-Exporter i get the problem with the textures, have a look: [image: b4t91u.jpg] 2.) If i use xExporter i have the same problem like the 3d-Rad-Exporter. 3.) If i use ZbylsXExporter, the Plugin break down. Have anyone a idea? Could it be a general texture-problem of Sketchup, or is it a exportproblem? By the way, i'am using Sketchup Make Regards Christian

got an answer from the team : We are working on the plugin compatibility with SketchUp 2013 right now and hope to be releasing very soon- but as we are not yet in testing phase I'm afraid I can't be specific about a date. You´ll receive notification from us when it is released though. I hope this helps but if you have any other queries please don't hesitate to let me know. Kind regards, Kyrstie Wade Next Limit Technologies

Thanks everyone for the encouragement, I will try my best. @jolran said: Looks like there are some hints from TIG dealing with raytests and camera positions, etc in the links. Thomthom where on to something there as well. Maybe that could help. Hope you manage to find something, Renderiza. The camera position in relation to the markers on floor is something to be explored indeed but its going to be a mess trying to have formula that can give you the right value for fog. Depth of Field with SkethcUP and Photoshop Here is little experiment using Fog and the style options for making an alpha type image that I could use in Photoshop to make depth of field. Alpha 1 (from SketchUp) [image: image.jpg] This is an exported image from SketchUp which was made to look like that using Styles options to modify fog color and few other parameters. This output image will then serve me as alpha channel to apply lens blur in Photoshop. Original (from SketchUp) [image: image.jpg] Result (from Photoshop) [image: image.jpg] This is how it will look with depth of field applied, please keep in mind that you have full control of the amount and you can even invert it so that the blur area is the front. Apart from the blur effect I also did an inner shadow type of effect just in case anyone wanted to know. Maybe I will make a tutorial so that it becomes more clear how to do this. Thanks, Renderiza

Over the world seems there are something like 30 000 000 users say one ruby maker / 100 users = 300 000 plugins ! Even some guy like TIG makes himself more than 200!

I couldn't wait... I got it last night. it's pretty good. it does do end caps, knewl posts and it is a complete solution. You may have to run it a few times over until you get the result you want, but that's more for learning the options than it doing anything wrong. [image: eanN_Capture.JPG] Loved the branch and natural wood railings... This is going to save me some time. [image: yFBC_Devine024.jpg] Still hate subscriptions...

@dave r said: Not at all. Between us we are making sure this thread has been well and truly hijacked, though. concerning global axis... blue axis is not a problem i have seen a plugin that changes the cursor using a bmp file; i don't remember the name; it could be a solution, since a flat cursor could show red and green directions how to change the cursor using a bmp or jpg file?

Diggsey's Recurve in plugin store: Double click the face to select edges+face, unselect the face, cursor on edge, right click context menu/Recurve/Recurve edges. Then text tool gives you the perimeter. Its a workaround but if you set shortcuts it can be very fast.
