I really havnen't made any changes to QuadFace Tools since 19 April 2013. Even then the UV tool haven't been touched - that's the same as several years ago. It's really help to have a sample model we it fails for you. Because in my tests it's working. Only thing I can guess at now is that your mesh isn't consisting of quads. You say "creata a shape" - what kind of shape? If you are using Sandbox Tools as a starting point you must remember to convert the mesh to quads first.

I don't know. Let's assume the following: You've moved all hidden lines to the HIDDN layer. That HIDDN layer is OFF. If you switch it ON, and also have View > Hidden Geometry set to ON, then do you see the hidden geometry ? If not something is wrong. But if they are there, then a 3d export to DWG/DXF will include all of the SKP's layers, including those layers that are currently OFF in the SKP, and it will include the geometry assigned to the OFF layers too. Proper layering etc is preserved in the exported file, just as in the SKP. What 'Options' do you have ticked for your 3d export ? IN CAD switching the layer HIDDN on should show the hidden lines on that layer. I have just tested it to make sure I wasn't mistaken ! It works fine for me. Possible mess up... If you ill-advisedly export a 2d DWG/DXF version then it's not really a useful CAD file - more a 'graphic' - it will be in inches, there will be no recognizable layers brought over from the SKP - all geometry is moved onto layer 0, and if any layer is OFF its geometry is simply =NOT exported. If you have hidden lines with their layer ON, then in 2d export, if the appropriate option is ticked, you should be prompted to include those in the export - but then these are lumped with other lines on layer 0 so they are no longer separated.

Apologies if this has been stated already, but I couldn't find where this request ties into a plugin that has been created on here... sdmitch has a 'blog' - http://sdmitch.blogspot.com.au/ Scroll down to Tile&Brick Maker - Interactive tool to create tile and brick pattern on face. Thanks Sam

You can consolidate toolbars. Native toolbars can be mixed and matched. Plugin toolbars can be customised in the same way by using Aerilius's Toolbar Editor. And the very few others missing from the native bars can be added using Jim's Custom Toolbars. Theoretically you could have everything on just 3 toolbars.

Inteloide, I believe (but I'm not certain) that way you will fail the checklist for Extension Warehouse... I guess Sketchucation Plugin Store is enough though. I read somewhere that if you have a file called "plugin.rb" you must have a folder called "plugin" There are better informed people that might know better though...

Pilot error here. Apologies to all. Dave #1 External components are not affected by the divide function only the Presets except the [Box] option. Also the instance functions used in a session (Fur dialog open)are retained in the [Make by component] pull down until purged. To clear purge SU components and close and re-open the [Make by component] Tig All your recommends were in place when the Fur error was observed. Thanks for your help in any case. End and done dtr

No errors, with the new version, I can go to the draw menu, select create board, enter the info, and click ok, then nothing... Same if I try to save default. Looks like resize board is having the same issue of not doing anything. Thanks

@gilles said: Yes this works, I' running Mountain lion Mac book pro SU V8. As I said before ESC does not deselect with some tools when they are active. well.. that's just strange (tried it in su8 too on lion and mavericks-- with various active tools).. i'm sure there's a reason behind the differing behaviors on our computers but i guess it's not important enough to figure out. fwiw, i do use the ESC key often in sketchup but i use it as a cancel button while drawing (for instance, i use the line tool if i need to measure something but i ESC once i see the dimension in the measurement box.. or if i misplace the beginning click of a tool etc..)
