Conflict between QuadFaceTools and other plugins?

Hi there,
I have used the UV function of QuadFaceTools and it worked great a few months ago. I wanted to use it again this weekend and that UV tool did not work at all as it used to.
I was able to add a continuous tiled texture to and object by rotating and resizing it, but not anymore.
Would anyone happen to know if there is a conflict with any other plugins?

Do you have a sample model? (Maybe also some screenshots?)
If you keep the Ruby Console window open, do you see any error messages when you try to use it? -

Sorry for the late reply, been busy with work lately.
The plugin seems not to work on any of my models. The Ruby Console is empty, no error messages or anything.
When I click on the icon (the black and white squares), it asks me to "Pick a vertex for origin or an edge for U direction", but nothing happens when I do so.
Did you make any changes to your plugin? The way it worked before was very simple. I just picked an object and clicked on the plugin icon, then I could see the texture becoming seamless on the object where I could rotate, scale, etc. No need for picking a vextex or edge for U direction.
The image below (left) shows how the texture is nicely UVed seamlessly on the object done with the old plugin. I removed the texture and put it back (right image), but I could not make the UV work.

Technically the plugin does not work on any of my models like it used to. Even when I start a new blank SketchUp file, create a shape and apply a texture, nothing is happening when I click on the plugin icon. Well it does ask me to pick a vertex or an edge, which I cannot.
Did you always have the "Pick a vertex for origin or an edge for U direction"?...The last time the plugin was working well for me was on August 2013. I did not have to pick a vertex or an edge.
Do you happen to have an older version of the plugin that I can use and see if it works?

I really havnen't made any changes to QuadFace Tools since 19 April 2013. Even then the UV tool haven't been touched - that's the same as several years ago.
It's really help to have a sample model we it fails for you. Because in my tests it's working.
Only thing I can guess at now is that your mesh isn't consisting of quads. You say "creata a shape" - what kind of shape?
If you are using Sandbox Tools as a starting point you must remember to convert the mesh to quads first.
