@didier bur said: @Glenn: @unknownuser said: If only there was a company that gave students and educators FREE copies of ALL of their products Autodesk is doing that: teachers and students can get a set of more than 60 softwares (Autocad, Revit, 3DS Max, Maya...), all fully functional with minor restrictions, licences expiring after 3 YEARS. Unreal Engine (TwinMotion), Abvent (Archicad, Artlantis, BIM Office...) do so as well, licences expire yearly. IMHO these are clever long-term strategies... And I repeat: I ain't no stingy guy until a software publisher charges me even several bucks to promote (in some way) its product. Yeah, I know this LOTS of companies do it and STILL make a living. No surprise on Trimble not doing this.

The same way you install any other Extensions downloaded as RBZ files. Download it and save the RBZ somewhere logical - like your Downloads folder. Within SketchUp open the 'Extension Manager'. In its dialog use the 'Install Extension' re-button. Find the RBZ and it'll be auto-installed into the correct folders etc. When it finishes use the tool as outlined in its usage guidance notes at the start of this post, or in the PluginStore's 'More Info' link... Quick-tip - Tools > ShadowProjector > submenu items...

What steps did you take to install them? Did you restart SketchUp after installing them? Where are you looking for them in SketchUp? For QuadFace Tools did you also install the current TT_Lib filess? And for Curviloft did you installed the current LibFredo6 files?

ThruPaint is part of FredoTools. You need to install that to get ThruPaint. Make sure you also install LibFredo6.

You've probably posted in the old thread that relates to just this tool. The various 'EEby' tools were merged long ago into the "Extrusion Tools"... It works in all current versions of SketchUp - including v2020, although its guidance notes currently stop at v2019. Since v2017 it has become more prone to Bugsplats during very complex modeling operations, so "always-save-before-using"... Get the RBZ from here and install it... https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=ExtrudeTools As DaveR says you should then see the 'signed' entry in the Extension Manager as 'ExtrudeTools' [TIG], and the toolbar can be activated, there are also menu entries...

thank you sorry to bother you again, just one last question: when I do that, it works almost perfect.. it just doesn't create any faces on the slices... am I doing something wrong? I have 'add section faces' on... [image: 7Ibc_Anotao2020-04-10142901.png]

Make sure the it's the latest version. Go here to check: https://flextools.cc/ Make sure SketchUp 2019 was installed correctly by right clicking on the downloaded installer file and clicking on Run as administrator. Then choose the repair option. Also make sure the latest version of SU2019 is installed from sketchup.com/download/all If after doing those things the error message still shows, contact the Flextools customer support for assistance.

Hi, There are many ways of computing the "center" of a surface. First: what kind of surface ? Planar, Nurbs, ruled surface ? Second: Center point can be the barycenter, centroid, average edges, average vertices, etc. Third: what kind of output do you want ? 3D coordinates, Lat/Lon coordinates... Regards

I you make these 2 clicks you will see the protractor for make your wanted rotation like my video above! All will miss if your 2 clicks are not exactly aligned on the base top face external "second object"! [image: 9Fq7_bon_courage.jpg]

Hello. Thanks to you I found the problem! Im using milimeters as my units. If I type the height of stairs as 2800mm it works fine but then once I enter set parameters it shows calculated rise as some weird number (see attachment). If that number is set then we get errors in Ruby console. To fix the problem I need to change that strange number of Rise to regular number - say 180 - then change other parameters and then its possible to save. Just need to adjust the height of stairs afterwards Thank You! [image: LPP5_Adnotacja2020-03-20152406.jpg]

@bsfranza said: with sketchup 2020 we now have isolate which is pretty cool... and toggle visible active (whatever thats for - i have not found out what this is intended for so far) ... Those are not native commands that are new to SU2020. They come from an extension that you installed. @bsfranza said: make it possible to unhide all recursively except for softend edges ... So you want to unhide everything including hidden edges or faces? What if there are intentionally hidden edges and faces that need to remain hidden?

Hi, I haven't SU2020 yet, but it works with my SU2019, apparently just a matter of loading policy, as TIG said.
