Hello, After years of using this plugin flawlessly, today I have a problem with it. It works perfectly fine with SU 2021, but in SU 2020 it just disappeared from my Tools menu. I was doing some plugin cleanup and I disabled and threw away some of them, but PickIt is installed and enabled, and I don't think it has any dependencies that I could have carelessly removed. I tried reinstalling it, but it didn't help. I also cannot find PickIt on the Shortcuts (Preferences) list. What could have gone wrong? I tried selecting and deselecting stuff inside and outside groups, but it doesn't change anything either.

[quote="bik"] "If your first click on the "Front Face mode" and then (whatever reason) you directly click on the "Greyscale mode", you will lose irremediably your colored model. Impossible to come back, so at this moment, pay attention to not save your model after changed the mode folowing this sequence !" Thanks Bik for pointing this out, it happened to me. So here is the work around. Probably you have saved some preset views and perspectives during the design that you want to preserve. First, Save the model. Then "Save As (model name)BW.skp. In the BW (black & white clone model) make the whole model a component. Then you can apply the Greyscale plugin, with your original donor model secure in the original coloured textures. When the original is further developed, Save that and open your BW clone, right click on the model (which we made a component, remember) and select "Reload" and choose your original donor model. Or you could delete your clone component in the BW drawing, Copy the original donor from its file, and "Edit/Paste in Place" it in your BW drawing. I hope that helps.

the recursion commented out is what makes it work incorrectly. however, it seems like you want to perhaps identify the group or component tag at the parent level as to where the recursion on the child parts go? otherwise, you would need to open the top level group and apply each group or component separately. on the former - that's probably some coding to identify if the parent tag is something other than layer0 and use that tag to then recursively tag all children objects. there is a downside to that, because now all the children will be assigned tags which means to move the group or component all the recursion will have to happen again, versus having built the object(s) in layer0 and applying the tag to the parent (in which case the children will be shown or hidden when that tag is checked or unchecked).

Good enough. If it's a simple thing like this and can be handled in a couple of clicks with native tools I usually don't bother using an extension but there's often more than one way to accomplish things in SketchUp.

There are already more answers in the other forum, it probably makes little sense to continue the search for the cause in two places!? https://forums.sketchup.com/t/roundcorner/172103

Hello, Did you activate your license file, that you will have received upon purchasing? If you have, in order for a pin to be movable, it must be a top level object (must not have any parent groups). Anton

@hkarakion said: any one can help me please... We can probably help you. You'd need to give us more information. What kind of file did you get from the surveyor? What version of SketchUp are you really using? Your profile says you are using 2020 Free/Make but there is no such version. If we know the correct version we can help you sort out what tools you have available to get the job done.

It works great not only for the lines I don't select, but it also works automatically for all the lines on the drawing.

You might notice that this free extension is ~10 years old, and it hasn't been changed for >5yrs, so any updates are very unlikely... Note that none of my plugins are hosted on the EWH - and like Fredo - I prefer to use the somewhat earlier original repository - SketchUcation's PluginStore - which offers advantages to developers, and which has many additional tools unavailable through the EWH...

As Dave R explained... 'ThruPaint' is not a standalone tool - it is part of the larger FredoTools download/installation. So download & install that & the its required 'LibFredo' - then you'll have what you want, after you restart SketchUp... It is NOT accessed from that page's 'Download' image, but the link below that should also work ? It's easier to go directly into the PluginStore and find FredoTools etc...
