Hi Trimble scan explorer is a great plugin for modeling architectural model from point cloud especially "structured" e57 files. Most 3d scanner can export this type of file. After having indexed this file with this plugin you can start modeling with SKETCHUP 2018 (further version do no work...) unfortunately it has not been updated for newer SKETCHUP version... and SKETCHUP 2018 cannot be installed anymore. it is a pity it you know people at TRIMBLE who could make it work for the lastest SKETCHUP version it would be great. it is worth the price of "trimble scan essentials" by far...

No problem hope u enjoy. Why all in one: 1- Practicality for dev(me) - Easier to code and update since each extension requires: 1 loader file; 1 menus/core file; dependencies; feature development files. Putting all together means I have to do it only once. 2- Practicality for users - Easier to distribuite: Multiple extensions shares the same dependecies, if its separate theres 2 options: a) you ship the dependencies on every extension. (increasced size, error chance and harder to update) b) you make the dependencies as separate extension (such as Freedo's library), so user now have to download at least 2 files. All in one means the dependencies will be managed and downloaded only once, on same file. Also, it makes easier for people to know about my work. 3- I see it as a suite of tools. Imagine having to download SU tools one by one by your choice. 4- It all weights less than 1mb, then whats the problem? just use the tools you need and leave the rest aside. And/or a separate Plugin for displaying an option (such as "GroupCopy UnInstanting") in the Context Menu that would appear if objects are selected? It come in handy for other issues that might happen with copied groups. P.S. Your previous post regarding editing a group, gave me an idea of how to make it easier to manually open multiple occurrences of groups containing materials. I gave all groups containing materials an Instant Name that included the text "....(with material)". Then, by opening the Outliner, and searching for "(with material)" and double-clicking on each find to open and close the group. It was a fairy quick process compared to opening each group in the modeling window. If a group's instant is properly named then all is good, BUT it takes discipline when creating groups in the first place.

Hi, Just discovered your 8 year old plugin. Its exactly what I was hoping to find. I am a 2018 Pro user and a retired architect that still does small projects for clients and fun designs for myself. Your plugin works as expected although it took me a while to find where among the tools it is located. Save for one problem. It doesn't always save even though I update the scene after selecting the left or right option. I create four orthogonal elevations and happily am able to cast a 45 degree shadow on all four sides, update the scene but when I come back, some of the scenes have lost the setting while others are fine. Hello. I have some problem with layer panel plugin v 1.2.2 (Thomas Hauchecorne) Sometimes, all groups disappear and all layers appear in one row with no groups. Do you know this bug? Do you know how to deal with it. Is it possible to restore groups or do we have to build the entire group structure from the begining? Adam

Do you have the latest version of the SketchUcation Toolset install from the PluginStore ? v4.2.9 This has the latest licensing set up included... Also did you originally install SketchUp properly ? Close SketchUp. Find its installer's exe file - usually in your Downloads folder. Select its icon, right-click > context-menu > Run as administrator... In the dialog that opens choose 'Repair'. This is will not affect anything else you've installed. When it closes restart SketchUp... Any better ? If the error persists, then try [re]deleting the C:/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/AppData/Local/LIBFREDO6_DATA_Dir directory - because it might have incorrect permissions from any earlier incorrect installation of SketchUp...
