    Try SketchUPtextureclub. You have to look through a lot of textures (close up view) to see if it has the features you want. Some of the textures have specular, AO, bump maps etc.

    Hi Robby thanks for your reply! Yes I also tried playing with the ior values but didn't quite get the effect I was looking for. Also the glass bulb seems to be 2 sided. Anyways I just decided to copy the correct bulbs again for me to move on. But if anyone can explain how or why this happens that would be great!

    A quick fix would be to convert the texture to JPG. It doesn't have an Alpha channel.

    I would do what it says: "if problem persists, submit log files to support@Vray." One workaround to try is to copy everything into a new, fresh sketchup file. Maybe only copy a few parts at a time, and test vray between each copy.

    A couple quick things you could try: First try disabling displacement. Uncheck 'Displacement' under 'Switches' in the Asset Editor, then see if it renders any better. If it does, then you have a material using displacement that is causing too much calculations. (although, if this was the problem, it would probly get stuck on building light cache....) If it still isn't rendering, try resetting your vray settings to default (the little circle arrow at the bottom of asset editor) and try rendering on one of the default quality settings like, 'Medium'. If neither of these work, you can try copying portions of your scene to a new file a couple pieces at a time and performing test renders until you find the culprit. Good luck!     Hi. Im facing an issue with my Vray renderer. It keeps showing me this message that i have attached as a scheenshot.     Do you mind describing more in details please? As I know one may apply "fur" to a group ( That has a material, optionally) not a material itself. There is no need to displacement. Generating fur-like effect using displacement is another technique.

    Put a white (lightness value of 220-240) sphere in your scene. Render this area with lowered settings. Take a color value from light side (but not from highlight) of the sphere and paste in cameras custom WB.
