Lovely, clean renders, with a nicely limited colour palette. It can be tricky to get a good angle on a restricted space like this, but you've really made it work. If I was being really picky, the only thing I'd change is the cropping on the left of the image: cropping tight to the edge of the TV feels a bit awkward. I'd try a slightly loose or tighter crop. But that really IS being picky . These are great! A

I dropped the shell by 1.75 inches and the suspension attachment bars by 3 inches which will allow the body to achieve the lower centre of gravity mentioned above. Some of the frame is in as are the disc brakes which will come from a street bike. The actual suspension hydraulic units will also come from a street bike but are not attached yet. Organics are hard for most people. I'm still learning how to make decent curves just on machines. I could not hope to achieve this yet. Good work!

Wow. So nice, bed clothes and all. Yes I'd not want to see that bed in so small a space but you make it look good!

Emarald 15, Thanks for the nice comment. I like that they made you want to relax with a cool Ice tea. A unique compliment.

I've tried doing this stuff both ways to be honest mate, in the render set-up and as a post-pro thing. Personally I find doing it post- in Photoshop is, for me, much faster, and allows a lot more flexibility to try out different options. Best of all, it allows for those 'happy accidents' when you layer stuff up and suddenly find an effect that just 'works'. That said, this is also partly a reflection of my lack of real in-depth rendering expertise, and I'm always in awe of those people like Solo who seem to get amazing results straight out of the render engine, with minimal post-work.

@ken28875 said: Awesome models, Jacob! How are things going? Still working at Steelblue? I just noticed that Greg is no longer with them. Anyway, if you're still in SF, let's have lunch someday. My office is actually not far from Steelblue, right at the intersection of New Montgomery and Market. Take care, _KN Thanks Ken! Things are going well. No longer at Steelblue. It was a great 1.5 year run but I wanted to move on. That being said, I'm a few minutes out from the city and am down to meet for lunch sometime. Sending you a PM...

Have a similar project, but the (shoji) doors go all the way across--two doors to alternately display one or two: a desk, a closet, a bar.

Rug should be very easy. Be shure to take a good texture and make a nice spec- and bumpmap
