VERY cool mate, I actually wanted to do this once. I had a real knack for making model scale trees - I found the right plant for the twigs to make them from in other words. I'd get so engrossed in getting them right it was hard to hand over the model in the end.

Chedda, mate that second shot REALLY grabs attention. Seems to be losing speculars though?

Looks fab, if i was being picky i'd add a normal or bump to the painted blue wall something very subtle.

Really nice renders, they look real and crispy. May I ask, how did you make it with infinite plane to cast shadows and texture from HDRI?

@olishea said: good stuff, only crit is everything seems a bit "floaty" like nothing actually touches the floor....can you bump up AO or something? Whilst there are shadows, I see your point - at this stage, the simple answer to that is no! lol I don't want to upset the image with noise etc. You know how tricky it can be to get the right balance. To be honest, it is a brightly lit room, with a light floor.

@jql said: Awesome modelling and presentations. I use black on white background a lot, but never did it look cooler than that kind of black clay render you did. Congratulations and I hope if you don't mind if I borrow (more like steal) that style someday... Thanks, JQL. Feel free to use the style whenever you like At first I intended to use a more traditional clay material (Keyshot doesn't really have one, but there are approximations), such as this: [image: 8XQQme3.jpg] But my slow computer was taking too much time making the renderings.

Also the plugin promises "composting" in the description, but I doubt it is of any use in the garden.

Hi, Nice work. Love the composition of the shot. Only thing to mention is the yellow ceiling lighting. A bit to yellow for my taste but it might be intentionally. Greetz Twan

@cotty said: Thank you all. @Bryan: Yes, it is, and the most difficult part was the placing of the holes so that all parts can be assembled like this Truly brilliant!

Yes, absolutely. However, the ribs typically are cut and erected square and hand reshaped prior to the attachment of the planking. Very often ships were planked (or "ceiled") inside as well so they would be tapered on both sides. Jim
