Sorry, missed this response, stuff happening and loudly. I will not be sending any scene's for a while as onepillockdrive is taking me up the wall. On my tenth circuit of wall, ceiling, wall, floor....... microsnot wanting me to reinstall the pillock drive to "Experience the full benefit of a properly functioning pc experience, it is only between £20 and £50 per month to home all my files on their 'super safe' servers". Wow, thanks everyone!! Uh, I used subdivide and smooth mostly, here's a picture of the original mesh (drawn by hand) before subdividing: The whole mesh: [image: xP0W_mesh.jpg] The face: [image: ppt5_face.jpg] As for posing, it can be posed, whether by posing the mesh before subdivision, or using fredo6's fredoscale plugin (cool plugin by the way). Here's an example: [image: qRmy_pose.jpg] Thanks for the hairstyles solo, they're awesome! I want to know how you make them (if it's ok )? I'll try them on for a render and get back with my results! I'll also check out the 'sculpt tools' plugin, I only found about it just now, thanks kwist!

Hi Chris Nice work. Can you re-render this without textures (just plain colours)? The repeating textures make it a little difficult to see the form of your model. Look forward to seeing it Rob

Very cool Pete & highly original. These are some of the, for lack of a better word, funnest renderings I have seen. They have great quality, but the whole concpet and the way they are put together just entertain the viewer so much. Great job

Added pilots and motion blur. Motion blur was done in Sketchup rather than in postprocess. Rendered in Podium postprocessed in Photoshop. [image: 7iAQ_blackHawk10.jpg] [image: mDGD_BlackHawk_edited-5.jpg] [image: 1gzD_BlackHawk_edited-3.jpg]

Good work! I think using the same camera angle that you did for the daytime scene would've made for a better nighttime render. I think the 3D people make the scene lose some realism as well. Go with clipmapped or photoshop in images of real people instead. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the replies and the kind words. The design is actually not mine, i did the modeling, rendering and post process. The Doors is not standard hight, it's 250 cm. @tomsdesk said: Really sweet design and model, Jenny. Love the green/orange color scheme, lively and fun place to be, but I think the green is a little bit off the best hue...or maybe it's the tint? (I noticed the tables too?) Thanks tomsdesk, I'm not sure that i understand what do you mean by "best hue"? The colors were chosen by the designer. @marked001 said: actually, it kind of seems like the tables are too tall? looking at the chairs. either way, nice image... i like it. Thanks Jason, You're right, the gap between the table and the seat should be about 10 cm smaller than it is in the image.

Nice work mate, though the tiling of the textures is killing the images in most!

@pbacot said: Yes, thanks for the post. It made me look into this sort of work again. Perhaps you are aware that there is an energy analysis free plug-in for SU (among other related options): http://www.iesve.com/Software/Model-Building/SketchUp-plug-in Yep, you are right, this can be done without Revit. Another option is to import a 3D model into Ecotect directly. I just wanted to show how one can re-use a SketchUp model in Revit for such a thing. @mike lucey said: I imagine in these times of drastic unemployment in the architectural / engineering sectors this could be an employment possibility. Actually seeing were the energy leaks are, adds a new perspective in the awareness department! And seeing this via SketchUp interactive interface Yes, now is a good time to strengthen "green capabilities"... @mike lucey said: I wonder is there much capital involved in setting up equipment / training wise? I am not 100% sure on the cost of the IR (FLIR) camera that I used but I believe it is around $12,000. Not cheap equipment, I know. I believe these cameras can be rented, too, but I don't know where. Cheers, Alex
