@d12dozr said: tolieolson, Is this in the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary? Well the building is supposed to be on the edge of the sanctuary, not actually in it. I should note that this was a class assignment and for our purposes, we assumed that the warehouse that was currently occupying the site did not exist. @chris fullmer said: They look great, and the general photoshop work is very nice. I think they look a little out of scale though - the firs photoshop image especially. The people need to scale down a little or the building a litle bigger or something. But it appears the people will not fit into the entrance without hitting their heads Great work! I really appreciate the kind words, Mr. Fullmer. As for scale and the height of the people in the images, their scale is actually correct. Where I think some confusion may lie is that, while it's not completely discernible from the images I've shown, a visitor must go down a set of stairs or take a ramp down to the main entrance. This 'walking down' to the entrance may seem cumbersome, but it really isn't given that it's a height difference of only 5 feet. So what you're seeing in the first image is not the entire height of the building. Perhaps I should provide a floor plan and section to clear this matter.

Meh, I don't mind the gray myself. Just looks like a studio setup which I think works ok since they're just exhibition stands and are meant to stand alone anyway. Maybe a glossy white would brighten it up a bit and give it more of a contemporary ipod sort of feel. Really like the dresser! -Brodie

Sean, If you want to make glass without using refraction, then just apply a Standard Max material and use the opacity and specular controls. Vray renders standard materials very well. Also using VrayLightMaterial in max is the same as using and emmisive layer in V4SU, I believe.

Modelhead, Nice to see some of your work again. Based on your laundry room image - your customer obviously has some cash to spend. I just priced a deck project that came in @ more than 2.5x the cost of treated lumber for Trex. Nice product though, and I like the concept of not using wood. Bytor

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It was actually quite a bit of fun doing this! Although there is a bit of dodgy photoshopping here and there! I only used normal reflectivity Sid, no blur.I just added noise etc after. It seemed to pick up the colours a bit better. I recommend it if you are feeling bored one day with nothing to do. Or maybe just get drunk, I dunno.

dramatic lighting! alomst seems to be out of a fairy tale I like it! earth mover is right though. the flowers in the foreground are not really necessary. the rough water is absolutely fantastic. how did you achieve this effect? oh, and which engine did you use for the rendering? was a lot of photoshop involved?

"I see," said the blind man...those bushes that ground the image so well also obscure the amount of space between the Crape Mertle and the wall. Not sure darkening the "artistic" shadow would help with that...maybe something else entirely to set up distance between the two? Anyway, really nice image (you know it's good when folks get picky with the details If you have any good links for Sears homes please share. Here's the best of what I found, but I'd like to have some sources for specific details, materials, and etc. (I haven't been able to find an image of "oriental asphalt shingles" among other things?): http://www.searsarchives.com/homes/byimage.htm http://www.antiquehome.org/House-Plans/
