Movie is excellent!
How big is model?
What size of texture for buildings did You use?
I'm glad you like it, thanks!
Model with DEM/DTM, orthophoto and trees is only 18,5 MB.
I was using a lot of components so the size of model is rly small, I hope.
Textures was usually compressed with relations:
1m - ~40px
1m2 - ~1600px
with a .jpg 95%
I was trying to avoid textures bigger then 800x600 px (except the orthophoto)
You can download buildings from 3D Warehouse gallery,
but don't forget to rate it
Hello,

Warsaw University of Technology
(Department of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing)
&
Vienna University of Technology
(Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing)
Basic data was provided by the Surveying Department of the City of Vienna, Austria:
~ ALS (LiDAR) data: 21pts/m2
~ Buildings outlines
~ Orthophoto with 10 cm pixel.
I have collected also ~300 terrestial images on my own.
Model accuracy:
XY: 0,4 m
Z: 0,3 m
Elevation details bigger then 0,5m were included / City GML LoD 3
DTM: 2 m grid size, with projected orthophoto
Software used:
If you have additional questions, I will be glad to answer them.

Hi all,
Instead of littering the competition thread (n°6 :Castles), I decided to post the animation as a gallery thread.
I am disqualified anyway, as this went way beyond the time limit .Here it is:

Outstanding work!
Where I can find good tutorials how to import model form SketchUp to C4D and process this kind of animation?
Thanks for any help.
@Didier Bur
Great Work! Your scripts are very useful.
@TaffGoch
Thanks for helpfull info!

Btw, I'm looking for *.rb to approximate edge from cloud points.
