@gaieus said: It can be cool but you must be very careful to make sure the roof is waterproof and to let the rain flow away easily. Hmm... I'll keep that in mind next time. The show I got this from was somewhere where they probably never seen winter before. @olishea said: stairs are very very wide! Thank you, my next house I plan to do a more elaborate set of stairs. Don't worry it will be narrow.

I was wondering what the detail would look like for the columns protruding through the glass in the front of the building. But its a nice start. Rick

cmoreink: thx bro and good luck with the hangover, hehe... EDMON: hi bro, i think that night scenes is all about testing lights over and over until you have your desire result,,,but first test lights in your scene without applying quality or reflections to your materials and make sure your options settings are low and a small output, cause maybe you need to do many tests and this will helps to make thing faster, once you got the right ilumination, then start applying materials to the scene, change the setting to high and the output, in this order i think can be good, hope this helps, sorry for my bad english.

I think these are looking great...my only critique would be the quality of the skies, but the vegetation is really coming along

Thank you all for the feedback. All great points that will help make me a better artist and hopefully benefit others that see the thread. Dean: Im really liking the working world. Its scary at times when projects dont seem to be coming in, but our firm seems to keep a decent balance. But I am glad you mentioned something about the image saturation; that is something I have been worrying about, because it is a struggle for me at times to pull back with things like that. I probably need to tone things down a bit. I hope my monitor is reading properly...Anyways, I hope things are going well for you as well. The motion blur is another thing...I am so glad to feedback on that, because thats another example of something I thought needed to be toned down and hearing that helps make that more apparent. I am also glad to hear people keep mentioning the skies, because i agree that they are too distracting and I, as well as many others, might benefit from some good sky resources. I get most of them from cgtextures or 1000skies and I think my library is running really thin, because most of theirs are pretty busy looking. Anyone have any good resources for free or paid ones? Also does anyone have good suggestions for sky gradients...I try doing it in photoshop, but they always seem to be lacking and I end going back to using some of these more busy skies. But thanks again for all the great feedback guys, if you have any questions...please dont hesitate to ask.

I agree with Adam, and disagree with many on the Vue forums when it comes to interiors. Vue is not good at interiors! You can spend hours setting up and messing around to fake it, but still the results are not great. Vue is fantastic for exteriors, there is no arguement there.

Thanks juan for the tips. im really new here. [flash=420,340:3s60yqdk]http://www.youtube.com/v/G0NU_nxLLpY&hl=en_US&fs=1&[/flash:3s60yqdk] Im render using plugin for sketchup called "skIndigo". Latest plugin have option to Export Scene Tab Animation. i choose 10 fps for the render ( since this is for test scene only ), then combine all together using picasa movie maker ( u also can use Qtime ) as time lapse and save as 24 fps. Thats why u see the video is speedup but smooth. p/s: sorry my english. im from Malaysia.

To me, the unrealistic bit of this scene is that the background image seems like an autumn/winter scene with all the leaves dropped in the trees, yet your trees, although having autumn leaves, still have their leaves. On another note, I can't wait for these trees! I really want to test them out on Vray!

Hello I did one more version of my tree and it looks like below: [image: Xo6t_v4b.jpg] I put my object file and textures on rapidshare server: http://rapidshare.com/files/341249989/Tree.zip Sorry for not English names (Polish is my native language). I will describe names: small_tree_full_d.jpg - main texture for leafs small_tree_full_d_mask.jpg - alpha mask for leafs kora.jpg - main texture for trunk kora_bump.jpg - bump for trunk All textures are downloaded as free. I hope this object will be useful. Best regards
