Sorry, missed this response, stuff happening and loudly. I will not be sending any scene's for a while as onepillockdrive is taking me up the wall. On my tenth circuit of wall, ceiling, wall, floor....... microsnot wanting me to reinstall the pillock drive to "Experience the full benefit of a properly functioning pc experience, it is only between £20 and £50 per month to home all my files on their 'super safe' servers". @pixero said: @taylor64 said: I wonder, reading your post, if you ever tried to import the doors or moving objects separately? You could move the part in question to the origin assuming the pivot point, then export to .FBX move it to where you want it to be in the scene. Just an idea .... I haven't tried writing scripts for moving doors yet. Do you have any knowledge you could share on the subject? Thanks I've thought about it but not done it yet. I've tried it and it works, saves me from having to add another step and having to use yet another app. When you have a component in your drawing, "save it as" which will create a new drawing of that component, adjust the origin in the new drawing to where you want your pivot to be , and export it to unity from the same. Just wonder if any of you Guys have experience in writing scripts (Unity) to make e.g. the door rotate or a drawer to slide in and out?

@magpie said: Any tips on setting up your improv. render farm? is it easy? I just grabbed all the old computers the office discarded when they upgrade the workstations. I currently have 11 old P4 computers. Not very efficient in terms of CPU power and power consumption compared to modern computers... @magpie said: sorry... reviewing your images and yes they Do have a bit of shadow I've flooded the interior with lights so there is no strong shadows. I guess it's been in fear to too dark areas, but I suppose that the renders would have benefited from some lighter and darker areas in order to provide better contrast and dynamic in the images. As well as more details to indicate that people actually used the place.

A lot of Canadians spend their winters down here in Arizona. It might make 90 degrees down here today. Eh!

I'd increase the segments on the curve of the pendant lights so they appear smoother. Also, the hands on teh clock appear painted on - no shadows as in the original.

Thanks Alexander, Yes the models are from Formfonts, most of the time per image is used in placement of entourage and populating the scene... I always want to add more to the scene but because of the limitation of SU to handle large components I stop before it crash.. Thanks again guys and hopefully more images to come.... allanx

Yes - render[in] installed various files in the directory including the icons for the gui (which show in SU) and a couple of textures.

Great work Delineator! Looks like the kind of place that is usually busy I expect it would be exceedingly difficult to populate the render with a convincing crowd. Another approach (easier) would be to have it communicate a story as to why it is empty of people. One idea that comes to mind, based on your description of the kind of place it is, would be to turn it into a crime scene. You could draw some chalk outlines on the ground where the bodies were found and put up some police tape barriers. Furthermore the cafe tables could be dressed to look like they were quickly abandoned with glassware & dishes, and maybe table cloths with one or two pulled askew. A chair could be flipped. And perhaps the blimp could have a flood light shining down... Regards, Ross
