well I have been working on the door for 3 days ( I know how that silly that may sounds) on the door model I thought it would not be an easy model to do but i have considered putting an end to it on a number of occasions. Now through me own fault I have mixed up my models accidently so the windows now are the wrong size. Thank god for intersect pages [image: 1739336763284-iface.png]

@bryan k said: Did that help with your video card? The new renders look good. Im not sure Bryan, but I guess so. And I think that is rendering faster. I dont know how graphic card work during rendering. I have 4 core cpu and its under 100% load, but graphic card is not working a lot. But I can see improvment clearly. Anyway thank you for help. I would like to know more about it. Have to do some searching

Way cool. One of my first more complicated successful models was an old subsea wellhead. Looks great.

Thanks Dale! The tick in the circle has now become their registered trademark, they liked the tick idea so much they wanted it to the name as well, which I wasn't happy with but agreed as long as they agreed that they are NEVER used on a page together as they clash badly!

This may be the last image for this job. The clients have decided to use us for this remodel job but the budget may not justify any further modeling/rendering. On a daily basis sketchup & podium and the help that can be found on these forums proves to becoming more and more essential to our companies ability to communicate with our clients, sub contractrs and each other. Thanks for all your comments. Paul [image: 9MA6_greatroom.jpg][image: CoN4_great-room-proposed.jpg]

Thank you guys! Means a lot! Richard - although it's not my intention to grab anyone by the balls, I am glad that my render did! JSteacy - Thanks. The rain image was actually one of the better received renders! Mike - The project is actually over, but I am willing to do extra stuff. But, the model is a HUGE file! Over 4 million edges and over 1.6 million faces. Sketchup is really laggy even on my i7 and Quadro FX1700 with this file. I might have to give Lumion a try though when I get the time! Hopefully it'll be able to handle the file a bit better . I've actually never really worked with animation before though. Should be fun!

Crazy! Mate for a home in NZ it seems very compartmented. I would have imagined NZ would have even in older homes more connection between the kitchen / dining / living?

Hi yes the buildings are my work, we also do another range with pitched roofs, o even vertically clad cedar. Many of the choices are the customers own. I'm unsure what to do post processing as I never get to a high level with adobe. I bump map the grass in podium.

@mitcorb said: Very impressive, especially that you removed excess fat. thanks Mitcorb, when you are dealing with a realtime engine you have to be good with poly count. The final poly count was 180000 with plants, car and characters.

I am definately not that good at rendering or getting the textures right, but I gave it a try in kerkythea anyway. I want to try a few different programs that I can get for free or already have so bare with me while I try to get this done in scorching heat. My computer overheated yesturday so I don't know if it will today, otherwise the first renders would be up already. Anyway pass on the comments please.. EDIT: These are PhotonMap High + AA 0.3 Renders. Seems like cheaper gaming cards (GeForce line) are better for this kind of software. And also for Octane Render.
