Gorgeous image John, your use of texture is really unique and also so much in keeping with your models.I think your images are some of the best I have seen here, and they also carry a "signature" which is very much your own.

Nice examples of different shadows! One question: is there a reason why the walls in the shadows are not dark anymore when the soft shadows are applied (second image)?
We added an option to show shadows on "shadows and surfaces in shade" or "shadows only"
Basically, with the second option, surfaces which do not face the sun, and wold not be lit by the sun even if nothing else cast a shadow on them, are ignored for the second option.
Here is a Sketchy Shadow version with shadows on "shadows and surfaces in shade".
(Also I changed the scale on the hatch pattern to have more white space between lines)

Hi, thanks - probably the screen makes a big difference - here, in my workplace it seems much more like you said, then in my home, where I created it. I guess I should calibrate all the screens I use .
However - that was my goal, to make it look like a sunny day, where everything melts a bit in sunlight . I'm sure it could be done better, so any tips are most welcome!

Hi, nicely done. What I like are those hand-held shots. They give it a doze of a tension and drama . But I would like to draw your attention to those fast shots at the beginning. They seem just a bit to fast, to chopped. Like chase scene in the accelerated movie from the old times, if you know what I mean!:D
Thanks for the critic I really appreciate it. For the camera controls I think is worth mentioning that I used CStools for C4D.
Thanks! After you guys drew my attention to that rickety tree - it now annoys me to a bit! Now I recall, that I made it inspired by a photo, which had a completely different look, and it was framed from a different angle but it had a tree crossing the first plan. That's how the twig got there . I think that I'll leave it there, I got used to it, but it is a bit annoying!

Second is a touch noisy but I'll let you off
Of course you're right, but I like sometimes some noise in the images.
I'm the same, sometimes I have to add noise to make it more believable.

Very nice. Hope you see many more projects. I have a building pending for a decision myself. It would be my first. It must be a good feeling to know something you designed in Sketchup will actually be built.
Thanks,
The knowledge it will be built is fairly awesome, Good luck with your decision!!

Over The last five years I often tried to learn Blender but I refused everytime. I always hope to get a good beginner Tutorial to learn the basics.

It's amazing what one person can see in an image but the next person never sees. I have never noticed that crack in the texture until I opened it and it's as clear as day! The image posted here is 1/5th the size of the original yet I had to zoom into the original to (not) see those missing shadows
This image always makes me smile http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=46674
a glaring cock-up but 420 views and nobody noticed If you can get away with posting a clanger here you can confidently post it anywhere.
thanks,
John
