Nice rendering/model, sketchy. It seems, to me, that the lighting in the background is overkill, everything in the back of the kitchen is washed out.

did you render as exr? It looks like there's some overdone HDR toning going on - there's kind of a halo around the brighter objects, like the dining room chairs. It might help to try a more balanced setting - things just seem too saturated and blown-out. Andy

Looks good, I like the lighting and the curtain in the bedroom image. In modelling terms the ceiling looks unusual to me. It may just be a product or design style I've not seen before, but if you're going for a coffered ceiling the grid tends to project down and the squares are recessed: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=coffered+ceiling&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=kFtsUNnrKIjA0QWvyoDQCQ&ved=0CCcQsAQ&biw=1536&bih=860 You might consider doing the downstands in plaster and the recessed areas in wood panel as some of the examples above show.

@crazy eyes said: Is anyone able to help me with a lighting issue I'm having? Im using twilight render, and I don't like the light reflections on the ceiling... <!-- ia2 -->SmallRender020.jpg<!-- ia2 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] Here are couple of other renders too. <!-- ia1 -->SmallRender006.jpg<!-- ia1 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] <!-- ia0 -->SmallRender017.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] Please, on C&C on the rendering modelling, not the design, as I have no control over the design. PS, Im doing this as a hobby, not for money. Cheers Clone the reflections out in Photoshop or sink the lights deeper in their receptacles so the grazing light is only directed down and not out.

Lee, I hope you had your sandbags prepared! looked bad on the news hope you escaped the worst of it. Oli, thank you . I'm no master, that title is firmly reserved for Pete and others who do this for a living IMO. When you can choose your subjct and there's no pressure it's a whole different ball game. John

The colors are just great david! I think the PS intervention gave the additional touch of life missing in the orginal render. As always, great work. I'm a big fan of yours

Nice modeling Jo but the viewpoints are always difficult in confined spaces. The mirror should help you show everything. How about an eye level view ?

@cotty said: Yes, they are nice! (Is it possible that the vertical lines are not vertical or is this an viewer problem?) The last one had the wrong setting, camera wasn't in the right position. If you look straight ahead the verticals should be vertical.
