Sorry, missed this response, stuff happening and loudly. I will not be sending any scene's for a while as onepillockdrive is taking me up the wall. On my tenth circuit of wall, ceiling, wall, floor....... microsnot wanting me to reinstall the pillock drive to "Experience the full benefit of a properly functioning pc experience, it is only between £20 and £50 per month to home all my files on their 'super safe' servers". It's amazing what one person can see in an image but the next person never sees. I have never noticed that crack in the texture until I opened it and it's as clear as day! The image posted here is 1/5th the size of the original yet I had to zoom into the original to (not) see those missing shadows This image always makes me smile http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=46674 a glaring cock-up but 420 views and nobody noticed If you can get away with posting a clanger here you can confidently post it anywhere. thanks, John

Nice rendering/model, sketchy. It seems, to me, that the lighting in the background is overkill, everything in the back of the kitchen is washed out.

did you render as exr? It looks like there's some overdone HDR toning going on - there's kind of a halo around the brighter objects, like the dining room chairs. It might help to try a more balanced setting - things just seem too saturated and blown-out. Andy

Looks good, I like the lighting and the curtain in the bedroom image. In modelling terms the ceiling looks unusual to me. It may just be a product or design style I've not seen before, but if you're going for a coffered ceiling the grid tends to project down and the squares are recessed: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=coffered+ceiling&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=kFtsUNnrKIjA0QWvyoDQCQ&ved=0CCcQsAQ&biw=1536&bih=860 You might consider doing the downstands in plaster and the recessed areas in wood panel as some of the examples above show.

That's it!~ It downloads as a 3 color 3d or something . Had it for a long time, not anything like it shows though.

@crazy eyes said: Is anyone able to help me with a lighting issue I'm having? Im using twilight render, and I don't like the light reflections on the ceiling... <!-- ia2 -->SmallRender020.jpg<!-- ia2 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] Here are couple of other renders too. <!-- ia1 -->SmallRender006.jpg<!-- ia1 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] <!-- ia0 -->SmallRender017.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] Please, on C&C on the rendering modelling, not the design, as I have no control over the design. PS, Im doing this as a hobby, not for money. Cheers Clone the reflections out in Photoshop or sink the lights deeper in their receptacles so the grazing light is only directed down and not out.

Lee, I hope you had your sandbags prepared! looked bad on the news hope you escaped the worst of it. Oli, thank you . I'm no master, that title is firmly reserved for Pete and others who do this for a living IMO. When you can choose your subjct and there's no pressure it's a whole different ball game. John

The colors are just great david! I think the PS intervention gave the additional touch of life missing in the orginal render. As always, great work. I'm a big fan of yours
