The realistic (not-tended-to-regularly, like my own ) plat beds in front of the building gives it that added touch of realism. The only thing that hit me right away is the fact that the same curtains are used in the windows immediately above/below; maybe mix them around some more so it isn't as noticeable.

Great texturing John, the glass is also good. For my taste it just needs a touch more contrast or highlights somewhere to really make it pop.The frame isn't needed or has the wrong proportions IMHO. Super image regardless. I recently found the plans for Osborne house online but it looks daunting I need the elevations. (google search images if your interested)

Chedda, I've altered the contrast a little and lost the frame, looks a little dark om my monitor!
Osborne house looks interesting, I've never done a large building for a while. You should be ok with only a floor plan, Cragside House was only modeled from a floor plan and pictures.

Just curious - why is one section of gutters and downspouts white, and the rest black?

Thanks Steve, no other reason than being separate homes, the son asked the exact same question.

This is England, a land where no one wants to stand out, where individuality is regarded as 'rather self indulgent'.
So having your gutters a different colour to your neighbours is actually a sign of rebellion that could only be measured against events like the Boston tea party.
I can guarantee the person who lives there not only drive a car that isn't beige but also doesn't wash it every Sunday

In the world of the English countryside their true rebels, with a taste for vegetarian food and wait for it....... staying up past TEN THIRTY on a week day!!!

I'm sure that the members of the local Women's Institution have already had a meeting and resoundingly voted the following:

To go silent whenever the person walks in the local shop and then to discuss what they purchased after they left.
To proceed all conversations regarding them with the words "Did you hear about them at no 53?, they only went and....." irrespective of the content of the remainder of the sentence the other party in the conversation must start their sentence with 'I heard they......'
To continuously compare them to the previous owners of the house who 'were wonderful'
To finish all conversations regarding them with the phrase 'I don't know what the world is coming too' or optionally 'it wasn't like that in my day'
