Do you mean Eneroth Axonometric Projection? It's available in the Extension Warehouse. In SketchUp go to Window>Extension Warehouse and search for it. It'll come up and you can install it automatically. The name change from Layers was due to a long standing request made by many users to get rid of the term in SketchUp. New users invariably wouldn't learn how to use them correctly in SketchUp because they were treating them like Layers in 2D programs. That creates problems for them. Hopefully changing what they are called will help to reduce those problems. With previous versions the rule has always been to leave Layer 0 as active, leave Layer 0 associated with edges and faces and only assign other layers to groups and components. The basics remain intact. The pencil icon should be set to Untagged, all edges and faces are untagged when they are created and remain untagged. Only groups and components get other tags.

@melissatr said: the program gets super slow and it makes it too hard to work on my file. Do you have any suggestions on how to reduce the file and fasten sketchup? Well, you might be able to do some cleanup to the CAD file before importing it. What graphics card? Maybe you need to update the drivers or get a better GPU. That's often where the bottleneck is. Looks like you changed the year but it still shows Free/Make which creates confusion.

I am excited to see so many happy people using this extension. From what I have seen RoundCorner looks easy to use with amazing results... So far my experience has been the opposite. What I've read and researched so far is my issue is because I have a Mac that runs the latest Catalina OS and that my system is cap-sensitive. My issue cannot be isolated... I am one of countless users that operate on Macs and use SketchUp professionally. I urge @Fredo6 and/or someone with association to seriously look into this and offer a*'simple'*work around. Not everyone out there is an IT tech or a computer wizard to install back end code for an extension (Perhaps a PC or Mac extension option?). Anyhow, perhaps I'm still missing something. I still have hope and still look forward in using this extension in the future. Thank you for everyone who have listened and chimed in. Your efforts were much appreciated and I'm sure I'll be reaching out again for advice on something else in the future -Chet

Thanks a lot, Box! Yes you can! But... I created 4 simple objects, added different colours and created a comoponent. I deleted one or several objects, and I was able to purge two materials. But always the one I added last its material will not be purged. This has to be removed manually. The problem is we have a hell of lot of components in our projects which are mostly downloaded from the warehouse (we are restaurantdesigners). This means a lot of mess, most of the materials are not labeled or purged before. It would help to know which objects are (were) assigned to the material. A plugin would help! Regards Picky

However Ms Physics uses motor operated driving rollers to move the chain. This I don't need (like any other physics) . also I am not sure whether animations created by MSPhysics can be combined with Fredo6-Animator. Does anybody know this? rgds DWH

If your profile is correct and you are using SketchUp 2019, it's because you have Hidden Geometry turned on in the View menu. In SU2020, it could be Hidden Objects instead. In either case, deselect the appropriate item in the View menu. Note: Moved from the Bugs category because this is not a bug in SketchUp. BTW, your profile says you are using SketchUp 2019 Free/Make which doesn't exist. What version are you really using. Please update your profile as that information is helpful to others when you ask for assistance. Thanks.

I would say Yes! All of them! But I doubt I'll ever touch AutoCAD again personally. I believe a professional should have good 2d CAD of some sort.

Should MSPhysics simulate a wheel floating flat in the water or a kind of rubber tire on the road? The behavior of bodies under MSPhysics buoyancy depends, in addition to material and density, very much on their size, shape and position to the surface. The tire is a bit more complicated anyway, because here the concave shape has to be put together from individual segments. Posting a model would be helpful to help ...

The move and rotate in native SketchUp has always felt normal to me, coming from my CAD experience. It's the gizmos I had to get used to. I mostly use snap to locations on the model to move and rotate things. Manipulating a gizmo is another step in most cases. Objects sticking to objects is how SketchUp works. Vertex Tools is one plugin that takes advantage of that.

Thank you all for thehelp! I am trying Latticeizer now and it seems working well, however, is there a way to make Sketchup and the plugin ignore the hidden faces and work only with the polygon traced by the visible lines to have the same effect as the photo? For all the lines, visible or not are processed by the plugin.

@hornoxx said: I've already racked my brain over this "what or who the heck is Gizmo"-term. (Gizmo for me sounds like a character from Sesame Street ) I now have it straight from the ex wife's mouth, she is native German speaker and works as a translator for various languages, that a Gizmo could be translated as a „Ding“, „Dingens“ or „Dingsbums“. Just to name a few.

See this thread. It refers to migrating to a new version of SketchUp but the same thing applies to installing SketchUp on another computer. You can copy the folders for Components, Materials, Styles, and Templates to a USB stick and take those home with you. Make a screen shot of SketchUp at work and take that home too. Don't copy extensions, though, unless you get a kick out of chasing loading errors and other problems. Install them fresh to make sure you have the current versions and they are installed correctly.

That all depends on your image manipulation skills. I'm sure you can. You can also change the green background in the styles tab and export with any colour you want.

@ritatalia said: Hello, recently I watched a video which explains how to use JHS powerbar to create curved surfaces, and I've already installed the file from this site itself, 'JHS_PowerBar_2015_v2.4.rbz' How can we install it into sketchup? Thanks for the help, Rita. There are 2 easy ways to install plugins from the Sketchucation site to SketchUp: Download the .rbz from https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore and save it to your hard drive. In SketchUp select the Window / Extension Manager menu point. At the extension manager window click "Install extension" and in the open file window you select the .rbz file of the plugin. In case you plan to install more than one plugin it is better to first install SketchUcation Tools plugin from https://sketchucation.com/resources/plugin-store-download with the above mentioned method. From this plugin you can easily auto install any plugins from the SketchUcation site.
