No. You could combine two texture images in your favorite image editor and use the result as a new texture in SketchUp.

As Cotty explained... A component-definition initially has the default material applied to its faces. You can then apply a material to an instance of that component, thereby changing its appearance. You could insert several instances and give each of those a different material. But the underlying component-definition still has the default material for its faces. If you edit the component and apply a material onto some faces then those faces will always be displayed with that material - however, any faces within it which have the default material will display with the material applied onto its instance [if any]. So if you want the component to always show a particular material add that to the faces within it... An example where this is useful could be with a simple low-poly car component. Make the component and initially set all faces to the default material. Edit the faces and apply a glass material to windows, black to the tires, red to the tail-lights, grey to the interior etc... but leave the bodywork 'default'. Now with just one component you can insert several instances and paint those, red, blue, white etc and they'll all look different, but will use the one definition...

There are a few threads on this topic. Do a search for 'thumbnails'. You say you are using SU2016 but your screen shot shows SU2017.

Fill the inner islands with faces, select them all and PB will build frames by ONE click. But this magical single click demands some preparation

My apologies for the confusion. I was referring to export from SketchUp. For import into SketchUp, there's nothing you can do to create smoother curves on import. If the curves are recognized by SketchUp as arcs or circles, you can edit the number of sides in Entity Info. Otherwise you would need to redraw the curves with more segments. If the curve is non-circular I would probably use Catmull Splines from Fredo6's Bezier Spline extension to redraw them. Since .dwg files import as components, I would draw the curve outside the component using the original as a guide and then replace the original with the new one.

You quoted my example of a step sheet... Please outline exactly what you want to do - what to find by a pattern-match and how to rename them etc... This thread have been around for a decade ! So what you want to do needs to be specified very precisely...

The reason the Warehouse no longer supports versions older than 2017 has to do with discontinued support for the older Internet Browsers supplied by the operating systems and issues with security.

You're welcome. Perhaps you could update your profile so it shows the current version, etc.

Just for the record, there were indeed bugs in the offset tool in previous versions of SketchUp. They are much improved in SketchUp 2019.

Hi All hmm, instead of doing all this via the SkUp Style- or Material Settings you could also export different content PNGs (always with the same scene camera!) and then combine them later on in Photoshop, Gimp etc. as desired or needed by the use of transparencies or lines for example. Might sound awkward at first, but works very simple and is very flexible. [image: T4Vd_combination.jpg]

yes it is solved sorry my mistake, now I understand the "d" is past tense meaning "status," whereas if it said Enable not "Enabled", that would be present tense meaning "to be done". I over generalized my experience with video buttons and wasted a lot of time. Thanks you Dave R and TIG my apologizes
