It would be useful, if it was possible to turn off the axis snapping and edges snapping. Perhaps have different toolbox that would enable you to turn of different snapping depending on the situation.

The concept of having a hemispherical section plane attached to the camera sounds wonderful, if someone can make it. Like poking your head through the walls. Hamlet. This is an old thread. Dynamic Components are supposed to provide something like this. Look around for dynamic component windows. Personally I don't use them. I create new windows practically every project. I make the different sizes using Fredoscale stretching plugin and a few other tricks. Don't use AutoCAD, so can't speak to that.

Hi Tig, I've been looking for a solution to the above problem 'projecting onto multiple planes' with no luck. I need to create an anamorphic type image (similar to top photo) in sketchup...however the type needs to be projected onto a set of steps, i.e. numerous planes. Is there a command/tool that can do this? I dont think the Drape tool will work in this instance. Thanks in advance

Do you have a typical pool model, and a series of the tile images you could upload here? It might not be too much work to get extrapolate colors to work for very very very basic uv mapping, as long as it is 4 cornered face mapping onto another 4 cornered face, for example.

Technical. That's very technical work. SketchyPhysics makes use of an existing free library of physics simulation software. And he just plugs it into SU. And even that is an incredible undertaking.

Thanks Tig, it was as you say, selected. I usually work to 1/4" for architectural but 1/64" when the model is a plane or car. I still find at times that the line would be somewhat different from my input length so it is still not right by any means but I understand nothing is perfect under any sun.

You can organize on the mac but it gets messed up all the time. Mac windows and icons have always been bad for SU.

i too prefer hsl, but i actually liked kerkythea (and gimp painter) color wheel triangle combination. I think that is the best one.

i know this is a really old thread but the solution is to simply go under "window" > soften edges and slide the slider to 0, then all lines reappear
