There is no way about the bobles to ignore them and you have to model them, if you are interested to have a close look. but if you are gonna have a distance look, so there are some tricks, such as reducing the refraction glassiness, etc.

check your Fresnel reflection value of your floor material, looks like it's too low (like 1.4 or something.) increase it to 2.0 or increase your glossiness value.

Sometimes when creating new materials a disconnect can occur between V-Ray and Sketchup. Try Going to Plugins> Debugging> Force Sync All Materials

@toddakeson said: Any tips in general to render off white painted cabinetry/ millwork without getting the harsh splotches? Hi Todd, I thought it might be VRay, damn. I can't really make any recommendations based on that. I used Maxwell (unbiased), so I don't have a very strong grasp on VRay (or other biased engines for that matter) or it's settings. From what I've heard, GI settings can sometimes causes light bleeds and so forth, though I couldn't tell you what to adjust to clear them up! Sorry!

Set up the view with the camera set to Parallel Projection. Export as a 3D CAD file instead of 2D.

Sorry it took some time to get back to you. Thanks for the tips! It seems like it just takes time and practice, which is hard to stomach sometimes when you're on a deadline I'll keep at it

Yeah, there is no way thats a 8000 pixel image. Your demo limit is only rendering at 600.

you could also try brute force rendering instead of irradiance map. Either way, definitely needs more light.

Suggest Artisan by whaat and ThruPaint by Fredo6 Edit: if you are still looking, check this thread by "cotty". It demonstrates the capabilities of Artisan. http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=335%26amp;t=42938#p382310 I will go get the thread on ThruPaint, or you can search it. EDIT: ThruPaint http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44552#p397448 By the way, there are other tools available. These are two that came to mind. Look at Extrude Tools by TIG and UV tools by ThomThom, for instance.

Wouldn't the most straight forward way be to, shape the sphere then take one longitudinal segment as a starting point and draw the shapes you want, extrude them and subdivide/smooth. Make that a component and rotate array it.
