However if you draw a rectangle and assume you wanted opposing edges to be deleted (so slice on all corners) the fill will fail.

Yes, there have been a lot of under-the-hood improvements that might not be so obvious to the user but they should make it possible for more noticeable feature upgrades in subsequent versions. There have been major improvements in LayOut, too. As for when SU2015 will come, it's anyone's guess but based on SU2014, it would be reasonable to expect the next version to come in the first quarter of 2015 or so.

It's now 2014. There's a SketchUp Basecamp coming in ~two months... Remember what usually gets announced at/around a Basecamp ?

Thanks for your help. My problem is solved. I used a template that was geolocated to create some components. Now to un geolocate the components.

The way I do it is to set the axes so the red axis is set to your required "horizontal", right click on one of the axes lines and then select "Align View". The model should then position on screen to the red/green plane. Zoom to where you want and save as a new scene for import to LO.
