Autodesk Sketchbook Pro is purely for 2D sketching and painting. Autodesk Sketchbook Designer is the more complex application where you can make massive edits to everything. Autodesk Alias combines 2D drawing and 3D modeling.

Because of the issue I added an extra step near the end of my ImageTrimmer tool. The PNG Image initially needs transparency to work out what;s to be cut off the shape. But then you have a component face with a material using the PNG as a texture that won't receive shadows SO you are then asked if you want to 'flatten' to texture image so it works [like a JPG], rather than the transparent PNG ! Answering 'yes' fixes it [it's automatically made anyway and is discarded if you decide not to use it!]

Yep! The original Walking With Dinosaurs was done in Softimage and this looks to be the same...with Zbrush for detailing.

Looks very promising. Watched it on my laptop and was getting an odd flickering, probably a less then compliant graphic card.

Thank you Dave, I've sent you the file. In the end it could be a corruption, possibly of both styles I wanted to save. Interested in what you think. I have found that I CAN save styles that came with SU into a new collection by the methods described,just not my created styles. Catch up with you soon. Peter [Update: Dave saved the Styles into files for me. In the process I figured out that SU8 was accessing the SU6 Styles folder. I threw out the SU6 support folders and things started acting normally. Thanks Dave!]

TIG, As I haven't made the foray into ruby and coding myself. I will try to absorb what you have explained about entities. And if it is not possible at the moment, perhaps I'll eventually make something of it. I think you addressed the question about the primary constraints. It appears so much is possible. I have also been thinking about the value of the request / question , because in my particular methodology I have been finding OK techniques with the native way SU is intended to work. The gluing function made it impossible to put the objects side by side. They were put in the model on a face. I don't know if one moved once the face's layer was off.
