Can you share the .skp file s we can see exactly what you've got? Or send it to me privately if you don't want to share it publicly.

Yes. Simply resizing the dimension doesn't do the job. You have to get into it and move the points. Glad you've got it sorted.

Illustrating what Box described. In this case I know there's a well at the location marked with the red arrow. I didn't have the the lat./long. so I got it from Google Earth. [image: 6gyw_Screenshot-1_10_20229_49_05PM.png] I found a model of an oil pump on the 3D Warehouse and opened it. Then I manually geo-located it via Window>Model Info>Geo-Location. [image: 4IfC_Screenshot-1_10_20229_47_34PM.png] And here I have a site nearby but which I intentionally made small enough to not include the pump. I used File Import to import the saved geo-located pump into the model. You can see it off in the upper left hand corner. [image: TTDV_Screenshot-1_10_20229_48_38PM.png] Of course if you can see the location of the well in your geolocation image you could just bring in the pump and place it where you need it.

I sent a new PM earlier today. Go to the top of the forum page and look for Settings. To the left of it you should see something like "1 new message". Click on that.

Good enough. Keep in mind that it isn't unusual for a Windows update to include bad graphics drivers. Always best to go to the GPU manufacturer's site and get their latest drivers to install.

Thanks pbacot, the Export for SU button worked. Workflow answer. I am an architect. Stairs show in the floor plans that they connect, so need to be able to print on a plan, showing stair from floor above, the other from the floor below. I model stairs in 3d, so I know they work, use components for treads so I can add/ adjust details... As landing on it, and a stair above going to the next floor as a section cut through a wall yields good results. A cut through a stair is not good, one riser is in section others light linework, and hard to get stairs from two floors to show at the same time. So I have two layers for a stair, one that is 3d for model shots, perspectives, and or elevations. The other, for plan view, is a 2d graphic that represents the stair, with a break line. The 2d graphic shows stairs coming from above, and from below. Is there a better way to show a stair in plan?

Box, Thanks for the suggestion I followed your suggestion; the M key brings up a 4-pointed arrow. If I trace it around the perimeter of my two screens nothing happens. If I click it exits, the 4-pointed arrow disappears. What am I doing wrong? Thank you john

Wow! That's a pretty clumsy way to deal with an expired subscription! You might want to contact MindSight Studios and see if they are aware of this.

@millerjx said: I don't have the styles in SU coming over into LO. Do you have a viewport selected when you are looking for the styles? The In Model styles should be displayed automatically. [image: 9Skt_Screenshot-7_30_20202_26_18PM.png] If you click on where it says In Model styles, you should be able to access the native styles as well as any custom styles you might have. [image: LjY3_Screenshot-7_30_20202_26_53PM.png] FWIW, I created a set of styles that match the ones I used to use in SketchUp when I created the various scenes I need for my LO project. Now I normally use a single style in the SketchUp file and choose the desired style for the viewport in LO. For the screen shot above, I intentionally used an older file that has three styles used in it so it would be evident there are in model styles. @millerjx said: Maybe related, maybe not. I do not have the tags saved to a scene coming over into LO. Do you mean you haven't create scenes for your model? Although it is possible to set up views in LayOut without using scenes in SketchUp, I've found that it still makes better workflow if you do have fixed scenes in the SketchUp file link to the viewports in LayOut. If you really aren't seeing styles in the SketchUp Model panel, I would wonder about the installation and if it was done correctly.
