No, This is what I'm getting at...
I had to revise a part of the master plan and in doing so lost some faces i.e. the parking lot and roads. When using makefaces it closed faces but made coplanar faces in some areas. I'm finding myself tracing the thing all over again which works sometimes but not all_trial and error.

I hadn't noticed before, but it seems to be true.

The reason seems to be in the way the offset function works. Arcs are just open curves with all the segments the same length, and with all the vertices being on the same arc. When you offset it, this no longer applies. The offset command makes the end segments relatively shorter, and a line drawn between the endpoint of the original and offsetted curve is at 90 degrees to the first segments, and does not cross the centerpont of the original arc. It is more noticeable if you make an arc of very few segments.

Kris, you are perfectly right about the 10% increase in constructions costs. Its the Chinese and Indian economies putting up all those new buildings. Maybe better to get out of buildings and into Commodities Investment 😒

tried one with cheetah.. just using the trial version for now (everything works normal and it doesn't expire - you just can't save anything.. this is a screen shot)..

I have no idea why more are not using it. The second image, I agree is the better of the two. However turning the exposure up to 1.5 washed out the sky which I would say is better in the first image. How can I reconcile this?

@Allanx you are correct, I could have made a smoother curve on for the window frame. I didn't notice until I finished the render. Smoothing the curve would definitely improve the quality of the render.

I once spent a while on the road as a musician. I had a chance to look at the drawings for a large church with a pit. There was a completly different set of drawings for the sound room or pit room (the whole room). The builder I met said it was like painting...every surface and every object had to be created with a sound surface or shape and there was quite a palette of designs available depending on the default sound they wished to create. After that there where a set of movable baffles and texture drapes that could be used to change the sound all of these themselves created to a sound recipe of some sort depending on what the client wanted to be able to achieve.

It struck me that his paint analogy was a great one. I know it was a very expensive proposition and this guy was a specialist at creating sound rooms as he called them.

That's a pretty interesting read and could be useful for some architectural designs.
I would certainly like to get hold of a ruby to help generate that sort of pattern.

This is really interesting and very appropriate for me. I work for a company that builds and markets software for the construction of garages, decks, and post frame buildings and coming soon houses. Our Design Tools product allows you to build, print drawings for stamping and as well take off professional estimates. We build in local sku numbers and as well the designs are engineered to local codes. There is quite a lot of data gathering required when ever we enter a new market anywhere in the world.

Although I haven't looked closely yet as you can understand this application that you have pointed out could be a very large help to us in the data gathering process and a quick method of checking the designs that our render engine creates.

v 6.4.112 PC: Change the global text colour doesn't work like it used to...
You can select 'all' text, AND you can change the colour setting BUT it don't 'stick'. The only way with this latest version is to select all of the text then use the material paint-bucket to re-colour the selection...

It needs fixing.

The bezier curve did the trick. I am already familar with soapbubble. These were the main ruby's scripts that I used to make this. Oh, also used line2cylinder ruby.

My previous ruby file didn't even have the ./ to delete.in that script... tried for days to make it work.

Have you tried the Organizer plugin?

I'm already doing that guy's. It was a bad thought. the globals in kerky are much better way to go. HDRI maps are even better.

I've got this one that i used in this image... its not terribly detailed since its far away...but i basically modified a trailer i downloaded..... hopefully its of some use..
