Indeed, VrayforSU (latest service release) seems to screw up the 'Subdivide 'nd Smooth' pugin as well on some PC's.

Yes, as Jacob says, the trick is to do a cut and then group, then cut within group. Takes several steps to do this. I think a ruby script could perhaps be done: cut section specify depth of section via vcb or picking, done!

I've heard a "saying" a long time ago that went something like this: "However good you become there will always be a twelve year old chinese that will be a lot better." We will just need to realise that some people have a incredible talent that make the rest of us look like newbies.

Dear Rick - Greetings - just a quick note - the comment above brings out an interesting point. Since I often render with Maxwell after the model is built, I have also used the trick of push/pulling with the + on to make the "inside" of a window. Its a bit of extra work but, given the tremendous fantastic power of your script I am always quite happy to do it. BUT Why not edit the Windowizer to make double-sided windows? Perhaps, if there is no "second" or "inside" wall, it could just offset the original face by the required depth (ie., set Wall Thickness) and then ZAM! Its all ready. What do you think? Looking forward to hearing from you. Best wishes from Berlin, Jason

Nothing up my sleeve. But sounds like it would be fun to write (if I didn't already have 1 billion things on my to-do list) Todd

The easy way is to use the K-Tools script, the spiral is slightly different from the one you get from successive quadrants - not that anyone would notice. Bob

The floor plan was drawn in autocad and them imported in SU. The walls were then drawn on top of cad with the rectangle tool. I then made a slab/ floor with thickness hoping to intersect with the walls which should facilitate texturing separate floor areas. I'll try and post the model when I figure out how to link a large file. I suprised no one has run in to this problem. The surface does not always clean up-some lines are thick (which means not cutting the plane in su or not intersecting) and some are thin. There is always some trace over that has to be done after intersecting. BTW I am aware of stray lines and intersect ruby's to check. Even these are no garantees at times to indicate all is well.

The reason why I thought it made since was because sometimes colors are listed this way and it seems to make sense to enter info in 1 box vs 3. Photoshop has this flexibilty I just recently discovered.

It could be put at the bottom of the list via ruby. Putting it at the top of the list would be a feature request best directed to the folks at Google.
