@tig said: Try running SketchUp as administrator [context-menu option on its selected icon]. This one off might then update the references/licensing etc ? Thanks TIG for the suggestion. Didn't work. I am going to follow Dave's advice and not worry about it. Thanks to all for your help. Close this please. Ken

Now that's what I'm talking about. Good job Ken!!! Any chance of some metal stairs? One of these days I'm gonna try to learn DC's. I like to draw Process Plants and Drilling Rigs and they have a bunch of handrails and stairs. Edit: I see you are already working on a grating DC. Thanks

It is getting hard to remember the function each and every plugins or tool bar. Thanks for your reply and the work you have done in writing plugins. Ken

Not sure if it's described in the plugin description - but there is a function there.

Didn't try the file on Double-CAD, just believe that Double-CAD is a subset of TurboCAD and could have the same problem. Didn't mean to imply that Double-CAD did have the problem. Files been corrected. Thanks for the offer. Ken

When these cold callers ring me I just say "tell me more". I keep saying it over and over until they get the message I don't really care. Fantastic to hear them giving me their best sale pitch though. Try it. "Oh really, tell me more."

@unknownuser said: Ok, I know it must exist, however, I can not find the solution. Is there away, or plugin that will export scenes created by me, to image files. I have a model with 12 scenes showing how to install the equipment, and I wanted to do an export of all the scenes to images files so I could place the images into a PPP. I did it by going to each scene and exporting to a png, but surely there is away or plugin to do this automatically. Thanks in advance Ken Ken, Your profile shows you are a SU Pro user. SU Pro has Layout for just such a scenario. Open SU model in LO.....generate a page for each scene(add text etc if/as).....export to .jpg or .png. Best, Charlie

Well I made a mistake, it is the 0.skb file that has the error message. However TIG I think you have the answer, I do use a USB drive to save my models, since I work at the house and on the road. Maybe it will go away like it did the last time. I guess there is no clear cut answer, so I will live with the error. So thanks all for your help. Ken

Set the imageURL attribute of the dynamic component. @unknownuser said: The ImageURL attribute contains a URL to a GIF, JPG, or PNG file on the Internet that you want to appear in the Component Options dialog box. For example, if ImageURL is equal to http://mysite.com/myimage.gif, then 'myimage.gif' image would appear, instead of the SketchUp-generated thumbnail, inside the Component Options dialog box.

If you want to leave legacy photos for your offspring, could I urge you leave hard copy versions. A recent project I have been involved in has shown how rapidly things can change. Making use of the 100 year old photographs was easy. Trying to retieve 20 and 30 year old text and graphics files was a nightmare. Finding working drives for old format discs then trying to convert what were once relatively mainstream file formats took hours of work and proved simply impossible in a couple of cases . I spent three weeks trying to find someone with a working zip drive only to find that the disc I had was corrupted.

@unknownuser said: Some schools have created student energy patrols to monitor and inform others when energy is wasted.” I suspect you may be misinterpreting the wording of this statement. To monitor and inform, means notice that too many lights are on in a room and inform those in the room that it would be a good idea to use less lights and not to forget to turn the lights off when they leave the room. You are reading Inform as run of and tell tales when it means educate or explain or make aware off etc Personally I think it is a great idea to Inform children as soon as they are able to understand. Informing them about healthy eating and exercise would be a good idea too.
