DC and additional attributes

There is a thread calling for improvements and additions to the next version of Sketchup. However, I have not seen any reference for improvement in DC. So does this community think that DC's are dead and will not have any improvements in the next version of Sketchup?
I have made a concerted effort to try my hand at DC construction. However, I have run up against their limitations and was just wondering if any one thought that Trimble will keep DC, make improvements or additional attributes to DC, or will just leave DC where alone.
