Ok, I know it must exist, however, I can not find the solution. Is there away, or plugin that will export scenes created by me, to image files. I have a model with 12 scenes showing how to install the equipment, and I wanted to do an export of all the scenes to images files so I could place the images into a PPP.

I did it by going to each scene and exporting to a png, but surely there is away or plugin to do this automatically.

      Thanks in advance

      Ken

Nah. Rich beat me but here it goes anyway...

There might be a plugin (see above then πŸ˜’ ) but you do not need one actually. In the animation settings, set scene transition to 1 second and export at 1 fps. Now when starting the export, instead of a video output, select image sequence from the file type menu (any jpg or png or what). This will actually export one image per scene - exactly what you want.

Only limitation is that an animation can only be exported at either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio.

          Gai...

I think that if you just disable scene transitions then the animation export will force it to be one image per scene, so you don't even have to mess with counting fps and stuff.

The other thing is that you can change the export dimensions to whatever you want, you are not stuck with cinematic ratios. There is a surprise limit on the image size though at 4096 x 4096. And you can't specify anti-aliasing like you could for regular jpg export.

At least that is what I'm seeing.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Well, I wish to thank everyone for their help.

I found a solution, that actually is better than what I wanted. It is not automatic, however, it gives me a chance to review each scene, and if I wish to change something I have a chance or if I am happy with the scene just select the "snapshot" button to create an image.

I am using "Driven", John's Snapshot plugin. I just set the folder to where I want the images, set the file type, png, jpg and set the resolutions. Make sure each image's file name is increased by one for each shot. And the kicker is I don't have to make a scene, and the snapshot setting stay the same from one Sketchup file to another. So I can move or hide parts, hit the snapshot button, and go on to another view or another file.

              Works really well.

              So thanks "Driven", John.

And again thank to all you responded.

                Ken,
Your profile shows you are a SU Pro user.

SU Pro has Layout for just such a scenario.

Open SU model in LO.....generate a page for each scene(add text etc if/as).....export to .jpg or .png.

                Best,
                Charlie
