Allow WebGL is enabled but still nothing. I don't get the error messages any more, the animation thing just wont start although I can see the buttons.

Thanks a lot Rich Sir! I'll surely look forward to your tutorials. πŸ‘ . I don't know but I guess there are your tutorials on youtube with Red light sketchup on a brown background for various plugins. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

And Oliver, you've just banged a laser beam sort of thing on a narrow audience. That doesn't mean Rich sir that I don't need your tutorials.

*Disclaimer - I am posting this in all good spirits. πŸ‘ This does not contain any sarcasm. I am writing disclaimer for the first time because my message looks sarcastic if interpreted in the wrong way. ➑

Reminds me of a morphed rib cage. REally amazing. πŸ‘ πŸ‘ I guess, you are

making a raw simple solid form using simple sketchup skills,

then making a wire mesh of it

      then extruding it along edges

      applying subdivide and smooth. Right?

My TIG.originatecomponentsaxes works by processing all selected component-instances.
If the selection has no instances in it, then it doesn't do anything.
It does not work on groups.

It does work - I justed tested it to make sure... πŸ˜’

Sorry, I was trying it on groups. I'll try it on components sir. So, the zoom cutting problem is caused by components only and not groups at all, yes? ❓

      Hi all,

I struggle a bit with this plugin; after manipulating the control points and closing the group, I cannot see an "Update FFD" menu item. I believe an earlier poster had the same issue. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Ditto ❗ ❗ I am also facing the same problem. I just installed and tried to use this plugin.

The TIG plugin is not working. When I click on component, and use the plugin, nothing happens.

The chris fullmer plugin brings the geometry of my component to the original "0,0,0 axis" of sketchup. Is that exactly the solution to the problem? I mean, we shift all the geometry to the global origin before starting our actual full fledged work in sketchup ? I have already done a huge amount of work in sketchup. Shifting back the components to the origin is going to make the matter more complicated.

Hexagonal chain onwards, it was rotated and copied around a central axis,. Then what happened? You did a joint push pull I suppose, but how did the final outcome, the bend occur?

Yes, I have done nothing wrong in suggesting a fix which YOU might apply to a freely download-able file - the infringement of copyright is entirely yours... The select.rb file does state it is copyright.
Do not copy it, but if you modify it for your own use, then no one will ever know. This fix is one which the author might have done, had he been arsed to do it. He is probably still around... but he does not seem to support/fix his older toolsets...

The reason I did not suggest a similar fix for his GoldenGauge.rb, was because it needed such a change in thew way it works that it was difficult to fix with a single 'tweak'. It could be recoded... but that is a very different issue...
      πŸ˜’

Pardon my lack of techie knowledge about tweak, recoded. I'm not understanding the different issue thing.

      Kindly bear with me.

All I am saying is this. You add the suggested lines in the original golden gauge rb file and upload it here on SCF forums as "Tweaked Golden gauge plugin" . That would completely okay and legal right? Rick won't get annoyed if this happens. πŸ’

Thanks TIG sir! Well, is it ethical that the moderator or the admin modifies the plugin uploaded on Smustard website for the betterment of its use by the common people who don't know coding? And posts it here? πŸ’

It is available free of cost anyway. So, there is no legal issues.

It doesn't matter. A better stuff is available on SCF rather than the outdated thing. Don't you think sir? πŸ’

    • Scaling a group without affecting the model

When we scale up a group in a model using tape measure tool, the whole model gets resized whether we want it or not. Is there anyway to scale a group as per our wish and don't let the model to resize as per the length specified for the group?
