Works great on the iPhone4s, and rez is perfect on a small screen, how long did this take to create if you don't mind me asking?

The 3D part (render time not counted) was approx 90 hours spread out during a month.
The photo panoramas took more time than expected because the way they where photographed.

Only a month, great results in such a short time, I applaued you on such a great result

    • [WIP] SU Character rigged

It has being an ongoing battle of mine over the past, many give up on SU because it doesnt have a character rigging feature, but you can rig a character, you just have to do it right.

I had a coffee and a breif chat with Rich O Brien a few weeks back and he explained to me the problems i was having, things i needed to take into consideration when modelling a character, and i took a new aproach to rigging.

Ok you cant rig your character in SU but you can prepare a character for rigging in SU, heres a character i worked on in the past which some of you may remember from the knifekick animation i did with a rigging technic in SU but was a very time consuming technic all the same.

      NEWRIGHERO_texture mapped1.png

As you can see this character model is more detailed and not slapped together like previous versions i made in the past, this character is prepared for rigging and done completely in SU, It can be used for animations and imported into game engines with ease, below is a rigged character imported from SU to Mixamo an online automatic rigging system.

Here it is working with google earth with the added 3d feature, must be epic for the user, almost like minority report

The following link may not be sketchup but it could be done

You can pretty much do the same with the xbox kinect senser, and i came across a video clip once with it working with sketchyphysics, very impressive, ill ave a look for it and post a link if i can find it, very cool clip too i must say, also look into the wii remote vertual window hack, i did this once 3 years ago and very effective, would also like to see this technic applied to sketchup, the technology is there to literly move your head to look around your mmodel instead of using a mouse, i just hacked the wii remote to display a virtual window and i was amazed, im surprised these devices havent being taken seriously with sketchup because the possibities are endless

      This plugin does this:
      http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=156

Hmm.... That plugin extends quite a few of the base SketchUp classes. Risky stuff.

I've a tweaked version that avoids all base class messing on... If anyone wants a copy PM me...

I'll ave a copy if you don't mind Tig πŸ‘

    • RE: Annimation with moving parts

Yes it can be done in the free version, you need to install an animation plugin first, proper animation which is free but rotation animation using this will have to be done at the origin, then there is keyframe_animation which comes at a price but is very cheap considering what it can do

Make woodfloor textures yourself with the great free: "Floor Texture Generator" by Martin Chudomel.
      http://www.matulik.host.sk/download.php?p=0
Max texture size is 2000x2000 pixels.
Output is not tiling so you'll have to fix that in Photoshop.

To see what can be done here's one I've made:
      http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7990360/Bilder/dark_woodfloor01.jpg

This app couldnt come at a better time, its perfect, thanks Pixero, great find πŸ˜„

Pretty complex. I don't think my computer can handle that. I tried making the two cutting planes in a solid and trimming the skull= crash.

EDIT: this is sort of a reminder to quit smoking. Right?

      Crashes for me too
