      Oh please don't say that, another war, I'm over worked as it is in the army, i need a break and ye want war, iv done 3 tours overseas to Kosovo, Lebanon and Tchad, and believe me when I say "seen the aftermath of war isn't a pretty site" war really is hell on earth, we really don't need that, it's easy to stay at home and watch it on TV, or play war games on your consoles but being there words can't describe, we don't need war, we just need to learn to coexist.

      πŸ˜„ I was not talking about a World War like we have seen in the past. WW III if it comes about will be the last one as no one could win such now that 'the 'genie is out of the bottle!' since 1945.

      I was referring to a world war against the manipulators and power brokers that are gradually taking more and more control with the ultimate aim to enslave populations.

      Maybe its high time that thinking people should be looking at alternative ideas for getting along together and with the planet we live on.

      Current political systems are archaic and long past their 'sell by date' BUT they do suit the hidden power brokers.

      The more people that sit down and read / research / learn about what is going on around the World the sooner we can start thinking and talking about better ways to live in peace and harmony with ourselves and nature.

      However this is not happening! Take YouTube for example! Have you ever noticed that informative videos have quite low viewing numbers in comparison to the more 'flavour of the day' videos. Now! I like to have a good laugh as well as the next person but I also see that TV in particular is being pushed
      as a 'soother' for the populace in general. It could be so much more if only the material were balanced.

      Most people just want to live in a comfortable cocoon but I fear this cocoon will soon become a very uncomfortable one as it will become a prison as in contracts and contracts over time!

      So Damien, the only weapons I am advocating use of, is thought and speech, the most long lasting and powerful weapons that can't be eradicated if used well .... but they HAVE to be used well πŸ˜‰

      You don't need to render both at the same time, theres no dough you need 2 animation paths, only differance is the second animation is moved slightly to 1 side, each camera path represents an eye, left camera path is your left eye and right camera path is your right eye.
      If you create a camera path by lines you can easily create the second camera path by copy line and move it right for the second camera path and place cameras on line the first on the second path, both camera paths are on the skip file, cut the second camera path/scenes and open another SU screen and save it, then render each animation separate and you have both you animations which you then use in a 3Dstereophonic creation software, there are many freewares to do this, place left animation in the left eye scene and right animation in right eye scene, and within seconds you have a 3D animation which you can export in different formats to watch on real 3D screens , 3DS, so on.

      Can a plugin help, yes, it can, it could create the scenes automatically once the first screen is created, speeds up the process, iv suggested this in the past and have being told it can be done, but no 1 is interested in making this plugin just yet.

      Oh sorry, I need to import into unity3d and would like to render the image first and reapply it to the model as a new texture, to try and get a better result, unity doesn't render the textures that well so I'm looking into rendering a texture before importation to see if the texture improves within unity

      Ok nearly there, see the image above, note the brick texture, if I render this we get a realistic brick structure which will have bump map, so on, replace the original brick texture with the rendered texture, would this not give the effect of a more realistic brick structure in SU?

      Mike that is simply brilliant, I got 2 sofas 2yrs ago, when I tried to get them in the front door, well let's just say it couldn't be done, I had to have the window removed and lets just say I had to buy a new window, duhhh

      Keep us posted on this, would like to see if it works out in SU and does it work out in the real world. πŸ˜„

      Post a simple OBJ/MTL file set [zipped] that you are having issues with and we can read/test it, to see if it's the file or your setup that needs fixing...

      Ah yes, and lumion is expensive, I looked into this before and I found a plugin which exports 2 animations from SU which gives the same effect, unfortunately it doesn't give the option to export 2 separate skp files so you can render both animations which would give the same effect as lumion, but saying that I did do it manually once and created the same animation twice, for the second animation I moved the camera for each scene right of the original path, I moved each camera the same distance from the original,I also tried this using keyframe_animation tweens to create the same animation twice in 1 skp file, I then rendered both animations and got the same effect as the 3D lumion video displayed above.

      The only problem I had with this is it's very time consuming to do manually, I'm surprised there hasn't bring a plugin designed to do this automatically, I manged to get great results doing it manually.

    • Unwrap rendered textures for SU

      I'm not sure if this exsists but my question is-

      Is it possible to unwrap a rendered texture of an object or component where it can be reapplied into SU to replace texture prior to rendering, for example, if I render a house, the render engine will render all visible textures as a flat 2D texture, unwrap it so its flat and not a perspective view of the image, the house will be rendered from all angles, once this is done you can replace the texture with the rendered texture automatically.

      If it does exist what software do I need and how do I do it, please point me in the right direction πŸ˜„

      That's not entirely true Tig, I taught that too, my car was valued at €8000 3yrs ago, and even tho it was insured at that insurance company's only pay out what the car is valued at now, I baught my BMW when the economy was booming, but since the resession hit the value of high powered petrol cars decreassed bringing the value of my car down to €2500 on the market today, this is why I only got this much, it's a joke and I totally agree that the person who was not at fault should not be out of pocket but it doesn't work that way, ideally it should but both persons suffer financially no matter what, believe me iv just gone threw it all, I say again insurance is only a sticker on your window.

      You should see how bad they are here in Ireland, I was in a car crash on the 3rd of April, other drivers fault, my car was wrote off, I got it for €8000 3 yrs ago, I only got €2500 for the car from he's insurance, I suffered financially and he gets a slap on the wrists, some joke, car insurance are only a sticker on your window, gangsters who you would swear they had to stick thor hands in their own pockets.

      Remember: sticker on your window, that's all they are

    • RE: [WIP] SU Character rigged

      This is a WIP, I'll be testing the rig in other program's to see if it can be manually rigged, so far mixamo riggs it with ease, I'm using mixamo to test out the rig as I build it in stages and add more geometry to the character, once iv completed all tests i will post a tut and my workflow to achieve this, I hope this brings more to using SU to prepare characters for rigging, it can be done you just need to know how which I will explain in the near future, this character rigg can be imported to unity3d, udk game engines in a few simple steps, not sure if it can be imported to cryengine yet thu but will be testing this also, so not only can you create levels with SU for games, u can create characters.
