RE: Sketchup + Missing Link + Mixamo = Rigged Characters
Ok after a little reserch i found this,
Mixamo
γΉγ±γγγ’γγγ¨3Dγγͺγ³γγ¨γ©γΈγ³γ³γ«ι’γγγγγ°γ§γγ
(digson.blogspot.com)
So it is possible to animate your models in Mixamo, unfortunately you cant import your animation back into sketchup but you can mport your rigged animation into other programs for example Unity and so on, now i have failed to get a model working in Mixamo but as seen in the video on link its an fbx file he is using and not a obj file which i have being, if only there was a fbx converter plugin for sketchup models without having to buy the pro edition

RE: Sketchup + Missing Link + Mixamo = Rigged Characters
Box
Can you please give a tutorial as to how you did this, i have exported my model to OBJ format, i upload the file into Mixamo and it loads successfully but when i get to the rigging stage all im getting is a black screen, any ideas as to where im going wrong????? -

RE: Obj Exporter

Sketchup + Missing Link + Mixamo = Rigged Characters
Ok if you havent heard of Mixamo i suggest you check it out, its a stand alone program on the net, no download needed where you upload your character and Mixamo generates a rigged body and your character becomes animated automaticly within minutes, fantastic right... wrong, it supports many 3D programs but not sketchup, heres the link http://www.mixamo.com/
I taught i would look into this software futher and try and find away, this is how it is, Sketchup exports file in .dae format which are not reconised by Mixamo, Mixamo only reconises these file formats FBX BVH OBJ, Now i do believe sketchup pro can export FBX and OBJ, so i searched the web and found a "dae to fbx converter" freeware from autodesk, and so i converted the file, now i tried loading my file to Mixamo but failed, why??? i dont know, because my FBX converted file was reconised by unity and opened the file just as it was in sketchup before i converted it,
Has anyone of you managed to get an SU model imported into Mixamo with the use of other programs, or can anyone help me out with why Mixamo isnt loading my converted FBX file

RE: Obj Exporter
I really dont know but when i clocked on the converter plugin nothing happened
