Attached is a drawing of a girt with four holes in it, two on each end.I am trying to make a dynamic component that when the girt is scaled to be longer the holes will stay in their positions at each end.I have restrained all of the scaling handles except the one on the Y axis. I would really appreciate any help what so ever or a nudge in the right direction to the right tutorials.

      Thanks Kurt

    • Plugin Coupe angulaire

Does anyone know where I could find the plugin "Coupe angulaire" or Angle cut"? I looked on the other forums that have mentioned it and have gone to the web site where it was but its no longer available. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any other place to download this plugin?

      Links below that mentioned it

After the Settings window and you click OK you should get a File Dialog asking you what name to give the file. You must specify the file extension yourself.

I know and it doesn't give me any file type to save it as at all.

Have I put something in the wrong spot or something cause when I go to view/export 2D the settings comes up but then it doesn't give me a file type to save it as?

Yeah I'm pretty new to the pocket hole deal but I love them new to woodworking in general, how would you suggest joining the table top boards together? I just seen on the Kreg web site the guy doing it like that with a coffee table, I guess you could use glue? I didn't realize you could see the drawing when I posted the layout file either, please don't laugh at me to much. About the text, I think I'm giving up on it cause it's not that big of a deal. I downloaded country blueprint and placed it in my windows font file which it said it already had but still got the same results. So I'm not sure what else to do?

Why is it that only certain text will show up once exported to a PDF file? I can't get Countryblueprint text style to show once exported to a PDF file for nothing! Something I'm doing wrong?

I also love the plugin instant Roof, Haven't downloaded the others yet. I will surly be thinking about going pro on this one!Seems well worth the asking price, its just right now I'm broker than uncle Sam without China! I do plan on purchasing it but first I just got to stop laughing at the Instant Wife and Instant Cash ideas! I live in America so depending on who you are the Instant Cash is taken care of I think cause they'll just print more as you need it but the Instant Wife you may have a problem with but then again it may come as a combo with the Instant Cash? Got the cash you got wife? Chuck, all jokes a side nice plugins and like someone has already said the Instant roof plugin is what architectural/contruction industry for sketchup need I think!

I'm American and I have way two many rants to mention but I guess I will voice my two cents on just one. I think every elected official should be paid the exact same no matter what their position is. I would even go as far to say that the president shouldn't get paid at all! Just one humble unemployed American's opinion.

Anybody else notice that there ability to sketch by hand in 3d has improved since using

I have noticed and I come from the same background! I started out using SU when I would get a really big job with hips, valleys, bottom rolling doors, and unique facades everywhere. It help me visualize the job a whole lot better which in turn made my work better! So I owe a lot of my drafting success to SU! I have tried and tried to get some of my fellow drafting friends to use it more but they refuse but also wonder why they made so much less money than me! I learned quick that drafting wasn't just a paycheck, you had to love what you did or you wouldn't make it! If it wasn't for MS I would still be doing it, even if I had to do it for free, cause work in the US is bad slow right now for metal building, the area I worked in!But to answer your question you are correct you do seem able to draw better in 3D after us SU for a while and for me not just metal builds. It effect the whole spectrum of drawing itself!

The rear view is of a different house pbacot.I was showing it cause it was similar to the one I was trying to draw and to be make sure the porch roof connected to the main roof. The plate heights change I believe is just the front view of the drawing tilted up a little I think? I believe they are all at 9'-0" elevation? Yes the porch is of a different pitch, The main building is 7 on 12 while the porch I believe is 12 on 12. Yes I am trying to draw the house just as it is in the picture.

I think David's last sketch has almost got it far as the back half but still having trouble bring the what looks like a 12on12 pitched roof in the very front into the picture and tieing it all in to make it look right.
