Thanks David, for some dumb reason it didn't dawned on me that the front part of the roof was a different pitch and I'm not sure what exactly it does in the back. I will have to do some more investigation in to that! But really thanks a lot cause that had me stumped for some reason and I was a dang good draftsman at one time. been out of the game for about a year now maybe losing my touch?

Don't know if this was the right place to post this but here here it is. I'm out of my element a little and having trouble figuring out the deal with the roof, so if anyone here would be so kind get give some advice or show/tell me what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciate!I know there are a lot of great architects here so please don't laugh!

RE: Thanks Plugin Creators
Thank you very much Plugin Creators, I probably wouldn't use SU as much if it wasn't for the great plugins that has been created by you guys!

ok, wrong lines have been changed - hope it still works.
Is there something I can do to fix this or do I need to uninstall it? It still works but is aggravating !

RE: Self-drilling screw drawings
I understand completely about the file size believe me but they wanted me to do the first one like this. Once we are granted permission to use SU I will look into using textures in a lot more things even like the roof and wall panels. I also understand that the screw is not prefect by no means but it’s all I was able to do in the time I was allowed. I wish there were a screw dynamic component likes the bolt component I was able to fine and use in this drawing. Maybe with time and a lot of reading I could try to take on that one, one day? These drawings will not be used for anything but to help younger draftsmen understand a little more about what they are doing is all and I think SU is way better than AutoCAD in that aspect! We use AutoCAD and its all 2D and it’s hard for some to visualize what is going on in say like a hipped roof or a skewed wall so I said why not SU and their giving me a chance . Thanks for all the advice!

RE: Self-drilling screw drawings
I want to use these screws on a metal building project I'm doing. Trying to show how useful SU would be for all our company's draftsmen to have. Well at least the free version for now. I want to use as much detail as possible is why I’m trying to draw the screws. Maybe to overwhelm them into letting my fellow draftsmen use it while at work to help them on the more difficult buildings. Hips, Valleys, facades, crane-beams, skewed building all can get tricky sometimes in 2D! I’m not understanding how I could make it have less entities and where are you seeing this information? Thanks Kurt

RE: Just goofing off
Thanks pdacot, like I said though most all this was done just playing around in Sketchup. The stuff I did with working out the roof angels were for some friends of mine that I worked with in the drafting office at the time. They were having trouble seeing and understanding how to calculate valley and hip flashing degs so I drew a simple drawing to give them a little step by step to help them along their way.

RE: Just goofing off
Hey thanks Speaker,I checked out some of your work and it proves my point I'm just an infant when it comes to working with SU and making little movies but dang its fun and rewarding when you're done even though some may even thinks it sucks.I made this with SU scenes and Camtasia Studio so I'm not sure what you meant about using a plug-in but I'm sure there are thousands of ways to do it I guess. If you don't mind telling, what do you use to make your videos? I'm really am AutoCad man and just started messing with SU for fun and thats what it is, alot of fun! Thanks again
