Fantastic!! Thank you Fredo!!! Love the new tools and the inference mechanism (these visual cues makes all much easier and faster)
Thank you again,

PS. Hope that the next update goes for your Round Edge (by Bezier) tool.

I'm guessing you change tools via hotkeys??
Yes, with keyboard shortcuts with the other hand. But right now i´m testing to change between tools with gestures. It´s great! but for now it´s more easy with the keyboard.

How hard is it to build? How expensive?? What actual part and pieces does one need? Have you got a "how to" video??
It´s very easy to build and it´s not expensive (it cost less than 100 dollars). You need a Wiimote that you read with bluetooth and a IR led.
I attach a image of the elements that youn need (found the models on the 3d warehouse). I don´t have a "how to" video, but there are a lot ones in youtube.
If you want to see what more you can make with the Wii look here:

Where did you purchase the pen?
There seems to be a time lag between moving the pen and actually seeing things happen am I right?
Maybe technology will allow direct response soon?
I build the pen. It´s very easy.
It´s very fast. Not too much lag time for me. Perhaps i need a better bluetooth... i don´t know.

Really Easy...
I bought the wiimote yesterday, today i made the IR pen and this are my first things.
It´s very simple... and it´s really fun!!

My first tests using Wii and a homemade IR Pen with SketchUp:

The most fun part is to play with SketchyPhysics... the next step will be to use the Wiimote to control the Joints.
I´m posting this in the Ruby forum because it will be fantastic to see if someday we can have a new kind of ruby plugins for better use of the Wiimote in SketchUp.

Hi PRSS
You need to subdivide before using FFD. FFD can subdivide all for you: you have to choose NxN FFD and in Subdivide item choose "true". My video don´t show the subdivisions because I soften edges first.
Here i attach another video to show you all this.
Hope that helps,
Daniel S
This will be awesome!!!
Hope that someone of Google see this.
Daniel S
Thank you!!!
It works Great!!! And the plugin supports position and scale transformations!
I only have problems with some rotations.. look at the attach video. The simple box is rotated 90° from the center point but in the animation looks strange.
Now you can set up to 4 positions. Can you add more?? 4 is not sufficient for this so amazing plugin.
Thank You!!!
Daniel S
Very Nice Style!!
Thank you!!!

Nice Job!!!
I like the Taper Maker plugin but works only if I select a round section. The square, rectangle, hexagon, octongon or diamond give me errors. Here i attach what the ruby console says.
Thank you for sharing your plugins,
Daniel S
They Just upload videos on Youtube.

I must admit that the idea of a scale on surface sounds strange.
The idea was to quickly change a draw on surface like a move OnS can easily change the position of the draw OnS.
SU make this very well on planar faces... but in curved faces is very bad.
I attach images only to explain and clarify what i tried to say.

For me the Ibon icons look really good and much better of what I can make.. but I believe that the icons will look better with a brown color on surfaces too. Is something that can be easily changed.
Offtopic, but today using tools on surface I thought that a "scale on surface" would be useful. Not making a request because you have already too many things but I´m telling this because something like that can replace some other future tools. For example, using the circle OS and then using the Scale OS you can make the Ellipse OnS, or with the poligon OS you can make a square and then with the Scale OS make the rectangle OnS. Just a thought ...
Daniel S
Thank you Ibon...
I like a lot the icons of the tools on surface too!
Nice work!!
