I don't know what your Polars are, but I specifically mentioned both things being grouped. If you use intersect with two closed groups the edges are created outside the context of either group, therefore losing nothing.

RE: PROJECTGEOMETRY
If the example is all you need, then a simple stack of faces, grouped, and intersected with the other form, grouped, will give you the edges shown.

RE: Artisan mesh to solid
If you are seeing border geometry it usually means there is a hole or your shape has no thickness.
A solid has to be a manifold shell of faces, a watertight container, otherwise it is just a mesh.
There are other basics about solids but without seeing what you have it is all guesses. -
RE: How to install old .rb file to Sketchup Pro 21?
If you can't find the folder that pcmoor is referring to you can zip the .rb, rename the .zip to .rbz and install using the Extension Manager.

RE: Joint Push Pull will not work. Uninstalled and reinstalled.
Ignoring the original post and Tigs reply, it is a few months since the OP posted and at some point after that Fredo's JPP became a commercial plugin, so have you bought a license?

RE: [Plugin] Select by Z
The version in the extension store by Tig works in newer versions.

RE: Having issues with 2022SU plugins
What do you mean, ctrl c is copy, you then need to paste or paste in place.
But if you mean Move/copy with the move tool you tap ctrl to activate it rather than press it. If you double tap ctrl before you start it will continue to put copies wherever you click. -
RE: Having issues with 2022SU plugins
You should install the sketchucation tool first, then use it to install the rest.
You will need it anyway to license some of fredos tools. -
RE: Having trouble with joint push pull.
Using a complex extension like JPP on your second day using the software doesn't actually help you learn how to use sketchup properly.

You and I think alike Rich.
While a very useful tool, it is the beginning of the end. -
RE: [Tips] Animator Tips and Tricks
Well, you can do that within the same file no problem, but the hidden door file I posted I created and then thought of the Robot only after doing it all. I had animated the robot in another file but couldn't get it into the hidden door file with animation intact. And by then it was late and I didn't have the energy to reanimate the robot. He really should walk into the space and then exit through the roof.

RE: [Tips] Animator Tips and Tricks
Yeah, it seems like the natural next step, hopefully it's something the grandmaster is working on.

RE: [Tips] Animator Tips and Tricks
Thanks for letting me know Rich, I can stop looking for it.
Have to prod Fredo with it as a feature request.
I often work with things in multiple files and it would be nice to be able to combine them, and build up a collection of insertable components with predefined animation properties. -
RE: [Tips] Animator Tips and Tricks
Fredo, I haven't looked too hard yet, but is there an option to add animated geometry from one model to another?
For example you have created a walking figure in one model and a forklift in another model, can you combine the two models without having to start from scratch with the one you insert into the other? -
RE: Some tips and tricks from out of the Box
Not a tip or trick just some fun with Fredo's Animator.

RE: How to see my model's edges by colour
Be aware though that By Axis is not a perfect tool. It has a tolerance that does allow things to be very slightly off axis and still show the colour. It is more of a general overview than a perfect accuracy checker. We have seen cases where people insist their model is accurate because the colours says so, but there are still errors buried in the detail. If you suspect something is out of alignment the Text tool can be used to check the coordinates of endpoints.

RE: [Plugin][$] RoundCorner - v3.4a - 31 Mar 24
A 12 year free trial barely gives us time to test it, let alone make money from it.
