Ok, thank you for making me dig john. I checked the Ruby console, did screen captures of 2014, 2015 and 2016. Checked the file locations and did screen captures of all three as well. Then I checked (after all that) the extensions window in System Preferences and the 3DxSketchUp extension was unchecked. Sorry for the bother, thanks again for making me dig. Runs away happy.

I think the problem with most font making applications is the limitation of their scripting for kerning! They seem to generally do a fairly poor job. You can straight away see the problems with many free fonts. That said I think Layout's engine has problems reading font scripts. To see this open any application and type a few words then do the same with layout and you will note the difference. Could be enhanced if layout had "optical" kerning and not just "metrics".

They guys at SketchUp Artists know about this and are trying to find a solution. I have the same problem on my work machine but it views fine at home.

Ah, gotcha. I just did a test with a model that only had 3 GE images imported and it worked great. Thank you. However with 35 separate images in the model I am working on that would take much longer than exporting it to obj for import into Max unless I am mistaken.
