Pete, I think this will most definitely be a non finisher. Its only achieved 5% of the require $400,000 and I can't see it getting anywhere near that figure. I have a feeling the developers have been very unrealistic in their target figure of $400K in the first place.

Here is an example IMO of how a project should be launched and priced. Its Smarter Stand, the idea is a good one at $10. I don't mean to knock the scientists at all, they're looking for a solution to a problem that's already with us - good luck to them.
But the "Solves World's Waste Problem" headline and reporting? - kind of has a subtext of; "Yippee, so it's OK to carry on producing lots of unnecessary junk, after all". Would a report about the benefits of buying food at a farmer's market without all the long distance transport, polystyrene trays and clingfilm get as much publicity? (if you are one of the lucky few that has one nearby) - I doubt it somehow.

BTW - the article was a bit too technical for me. What is it exactly that they turn the plastic into? Does it taste good? 😉

Since we have lost shuttles due to accidents at lift-off (Challenger and Columbia--Very sad. . .) with tiles falling off or fuel lines frozen it was absolutely imperative that every aspect of the launches be photographed. . .so that explains the cameras.

I would not discount it overheating either, a month after I got this machine I had to return it for a new cooling system as it died on me. I will give it a good dusting out again, although I did that about 4 weeks ago.

Are you using a DVI and a VGA port? Many DVI monitors come with a VGA adapter or cable, check your box of computer junk.

A friend of my mother in law's had a garage in the hit area. He was restoring a Lamborghini, his garage was damaged but the Lambo was not scratched at all.

Sorry I wasn't much help, but glad to hear you've got it working again.

ITunes works great, until it doesn't...but then that's true of most things.

If you elect to continue using it, just make sure you update it regularly to avoid those issues. I had the same problem with an iPhone 3GS that had iOS 4.x on it and my computer was 5.x. Luckily I wasn't worried about the content on the 3GS, so it was easier to just wipe it and start fresh.
