Well its hard to ignore the Pen's even if you are a Canuck fan. I think what the whole Olympic hockey did was show how the game has developed world wide. It wasn't that many years ago that the dominant forces in hockey were Russia, the U.S. and Canada. Now you don't know who the spoiler might be as just about all the teams can perform a such a high level. I hope women's hockey is allowed to get to that level with Olympic support.

nice. could be great if you had better wood texture (looks flat) and i think the shower floor texture needs to be toned down. and probably scaled down too, seems a little like the floor tiles are too big?

Our brave little East Nantmeal Township got cited by The Weather Channel as getting the most snow in the Delaware Valley yesterday (26.8") which also means the most snow in PA. That's on top of 24" saturday. Not a pretty sight.[image: oGna_VID00445.jpg][image: SPzw_VID00446.jpg]

hi, nice render..just add more light to it next time...try to bake the environment...u can do that by keeping backplate at same brightness and increasing environment brightness....its not the case that u will always get what you want from hdri light source...try different studio light setups to match up with the Backplate..have fun..!!

The lawn looks awesome. Is it displaced? You can try adding a tree somewhere out of the frame that will cast some shadows into the shot, and give a reason for the leaves to be on the lawn. You could also try adding some detail to the window frames and slightly rounding some of the edges. Also the wood doesn't have an exterior feel to me. Perhaps something a little more weathered would help. I also think the camera could be repositioned a little to gain more of focal point and tell a better story.

Note that it was 1990 (almost 20 years ago) when I was there. And indeed, the suburbs (then) looked like that here and there. And yes, our abandoned mines have also been (kind of) "recultivated" here ever since

sitegrinder is quite impressive for its ease of use. however, as it is meant for a non pro web designer, its price is too steep.

There is always the concern that if you use some small name codec, that your users will then have to download and install that codec in order to view your videos. Keep that in mind, Chris

Mike, Did you ever solve your Hardie Panel texture issues? I also need some Hardie Panel textures, plus some Hardie Panel Vertical Siding SKP models for our solar cabin design projects. Any suggestions for us? Regards, Alan

Hi Mike, As for the image distorting in the pool; Jakob is probably right. If you project the an image on a curved surface, it always stretches on sides. If it's due to s ditorted scaleing, right click an choose "scale definition" (or what).

Bruce, thank you. Actually, no sphere needed. I started off that leg with a 2D DWG file that was given. I copied the square sections off to one side. [image: dcef30d6.jpg] Deleted half the leg profile and the square sections. [image: d249ed36.jpg] Push/Pull the square sections. Extend the profile for the turned portion to create the pommel. Add a path for Follow Me. [image: 9cb12797.jpg] Run Follow Me. [image: e86c55f8.jpg] Move the square section into place. Run Intersect. [image: 08b79c29.jpg] Delete the waste. [image: b1bf7cae.jpg] To reduce the turned piece's file size as Eric mentioned, I rotated the 24 segment circular path for Follw Me 7.5° and then cut the circle in quarters cutting at the midpoint of edge segments rather than at the vertices. After running Follow Me on the turned parts, their edges were hidden. These were made into components and copied about the center. When all the components are placed together, the seam lines don't show as they would if the cut had been made along the vertices instead. [image: Leg_Experiment.jpg]

Cornel, thanks again, printing from CMYK mode made a big improvement, a few tweaks and I should have the quality that I'm trying to achieve. Mike

@edson said: eric, why step 8 (intersect with model)? Because if you do not then the points where the components intersect each other will be visible. I tried the vector push pull but got some odd results. Maybe because my curves had a large number of segments.
