This is an 8-year old thread. Maybe you could contact the Meshlab developers with questions.

@aidus said: Richard yes all HI poly stuff I'm adding in studio. Also I'm doing all setup in studio. I like evermotion trees because they are very natural but also very heavy geometry. So add them in sketchup is impossible. Yes all that tree setup can take whole day but result is worth it and I can take render shot from any angle I like. That is also reason why I'm working in studio. Some time ago I tried trees what you using (forgot software name ) but then I switched to evermotion because of realism. PS. Sorry about my english I hope You can understand me I'm thinking your fortunate to be in a part of the world that has well studied (for 3d) forms, for Australia the evermotion and even Xfrog oceania are not up to scratch! @ Majid mate the tree factory thing as it was was a really stupid idea in a way it was just like taking any tree apart then trying to make a new one (that's the hardest part anyway) it was simply something in the early days of SU when nothing was available, I've worked some better workflow though haven't progessed much due to limitations in mapping trunk and branches, once that is done (solved) the last link falls in place as I've worked out some simple compilation approach and low poly approach to leafing! Just waiting for a breakthough in SU's mapping or easy workaround, brain not in gear with best way on that aspect yet though have some ideas!

First of all- you get great projects! Looks really impressive! the black and white rendering is revealing as to the material qualities of the building. I'm going to have to start using this as a design tool. Good stuff!

I like the design of the main home/cabin. In my opinion the garage and free standing... garbage can hut...? do not fit style-wise with the home. That is just an opinion and of course everyone has their own:) The thing I notice about your render is the composition. It feels a bit flat. as if the building were sitting on a perfectly flat plane and just rotated a bit. I would suggest rotating the view a little so you are looking slightly up at it. It feels almost as if a 2d view was just spun on the vertical axis. Nice curb and driveway. Although I think the asphalt is too light. Another thing that would help the composition would to be to add some foreground plants or bushes and plant some trees behind the camera to cast some shadows on the lawn. The lawn as it is, is too flat and too lime green to be convincing. How about some furniture on the upper deck? The roof texture is not great. The bench is kind of in an odd place. Would you be staring at the garage wall with your knees under your chin if you were sitting on it? The bushes look like photos of bushes sitting on a flat plane. If you add some bushy small plants at the base of those bushes it will help them feel grounded. Do not be afraid to add some more plants and shrubs. The very limited amount you used feels like the home owner ran out of money before finishing the landscape:) The planter thing hanging from the deck looks lonely. Such a symmetrical form, one would think maybe hanging two of them. I have never been a fan of cars parked in front of houses, unless I am selling cars, not homes. I hope you take all of that as not just criticism, but as a constructive critique. paul

I've been doing some experimentation and research in regards to the instancing issue with maxwell and found some interesting info. There seems to be a bug that can drastically increase render times with instances. Without going into details of my test and forum discussions, here's the deal. If your instance AND/OR the original object from which your instance is taken intersects with any other object in the scene your render times go WAY up (my tests were showing like 15x longer). However, instances CAN intersect with other instances. -Brodie

Brodie the best thing You can do is search OC and Hardware forums or simply google. Write your mobo and cpu model in search field and that's it. There are lots of info and tutorials about how to do that OC process depends on Your mobo and processor type generally. One thing that I can tell sure is that values in bios You must rise very slowly especially if You doing it in first time

I can only ditto this I'm afraid. I've run into the same problem and haven't found the solution yet either. I'll keep you posted if I find out anything as I'm going to be running into this problem again shortly with a brick texture. -brodie

Cool. I figured there was a reason I turned it off As I recall it also grouped everything as one big object too which I didn't like because I'd occassionally like to move a car around or make some adjustments in Maxwell. -Brodie

Hey, just found on maxwell forum: Pelias say's: "There is one very important change which is not directly visible though. The handling of transformation matrices was overwritten to solve the issues of Studio compatibility for groups/components. This is a big one - I believe this fixes the issues of objects misplaced in Studio or Studio crashes when loading SU generated MXS files for good." Yeah!
