    Hi all!
Long time no posts from me πŸ˜„
    Here is another problem:

    http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/1562/errorma.jpg

Some weird ripples apear on surface when rendering. My guess is that something is wrong with vertex normals. Geometry is made in Sktechup then exported as OBJ added some adjustments in Modo and then imported in Maxwell render.
Here You can see some of geometry and normals:

I'm really stuck with this problem 😞

This is the project (work in progress) where I need that (censored) grass πŸ˜„

    Result:

Problem was with normals. Maxwell used surface normals and vertex normals and that made those riples. I deleted surface normals in modo and now displacement rendering is correct.

PS. Remove surface normal map and then freeze geometry.

Aidus, firstly I do not use maxwell so I really cannot offer any real solutions...however....

When you export or in Maxwell have you tried welding vertices?

And how can I do that? That welding vertices stuff?

how do you export to Maxwell?

If it's .3ds then in the SU export dialogue you can do it, however I assume you have a maxwell exporter that should have this option, what about in Maxwell studio? there must be some sort of geometry tools where you can weld and smooth mesh.

Any maxwell users out there that can assist?
