Thanks David, I have made the change to the camera angle. I guess it is one of those things that when you work on it long enough I know what is what but others may not. Thanks. As far as the explanation (or idea) I am not sure if that is it, only due to the fact that the same thing happened when a shot was taken from the other side of the glass wall looking in. The tile in front of the wall was messed up there as well. Once I turned off "use maximum texture size" this bug went away. I only turned that on since I had heard it may help the overall quality of exported images. As I know know that is not always the case. Scott

For instance if you want to make an arbitrary length piping run with 20 foot pipe sections, and fittings between settings, then you can do the whole thing with one component. But you still have to place the component in the first place and stretch it to the desired size, and if your fittings have an inside (e.g. connection to wall) then you also have to align the component properly depending on whether you are placing in on the inside or outside of a wll. You can make Dynamic components if you have SU version 7 Pro only. If you have the free version, you can use Dynamic components, but can not make them or view the "source code". But with pro, you can see how they work. Do you have Pro? Chris

Yes, that is the problem Chris. I wonder whether the component origin/axis is set up by the 3ds exporter or by the SU importer? One workaround may be a simple script that explodes and remakes each component one at a time. C'mon Thom, there's a challenge for you

I can't agree more with the comments above. Since .png are a lossless format, file sizes tend to be larger. Try to limit texture widths to 500 pixels. GE will crunch alot of this info anyway to make the filesize smaller. What I was trying to get across in my image is that you dont have to model between the steel beams:the cutout. This will save time and polygons. Also .png's are great for signage. check out the logo for the fedex forum.

Hi Jeff, There re no naming standards for SU itself although I would imagine that each profession has its naming standards but that's not particularly peculiar to the application (SU) itself.

Hello Chris. I have just uploaded some simpler stylistic bock versions of the Table Layout Dynamic Components. 100 table layouts should now generate in 15-35 seconds on a hp Compaq 8510p notebook with 4GB of Ram. Square table layouts are fastest. Larger layouts on the same notebook took 3 minutes to generate 700 tables covering 4025m². 1024 Tables processed in 4 minutes 40 in an area 80m x 76.3m being 5888m² ( over 63,000 ft² being 262 x 250 ft ). One way to make this process less cumbersome as the coverage increases is to break the area up into smaller more manageable regions.
