Mike, to answer your specific question, it wouldn't be an easy thing to adjust the spacing between the ribbons. It would require a change in the radius of the curves. The Scale tool could be used to squash things flatter but it would make the ribbons thinner, too. Are you thinking of a sort of panel of woven wood strips? If so I think the idea from the Parisian Fence is good. Make a small section that you can repeat and make that a component. Then copy that into an array. I do that for grilles. Here's a simple example. [image: 5979597868_808f4b6fcc.jpg] This grille is made of three different components, shown on the right. The faces that fall in the seams are deleted (magenta is the back face color for this example) and the seam lines on the horizontal surfaces are hidden.

if your Library's hidden, you can use SU's 'Ruby Console' to find and open it for you Select All then copy and paste this into 'RC' and hit return/enter open_Templates = %x(open "#{Sketchup.find_support_file('Templates')}") then delete as desired... john

Yes. Window>Fog>Check Display Fog use sliders to adjust. Rightclick on Scene Tab>Update. Rightclick On Scene Tab again, Add Scene and set fog parameters, Update scene.... Does this work for you?

I was going to say that most of your issues sound mouse related... I wonder if your clicker isn't going out and not holding functions. Might take it apart and clean it. I mean inside where the buttons connect to the little mini buttons.

Also, if your thinking of rendering you could take the approach the legendary Silver_Shadow used in "The River Runs Through it". http://www.sketchupartists.org/tutorials/sketchup-and-advanced-modeling/the-river-runs-through-it/ If not' like me you'll pick up a hell of a lot of modeling technique from this.

Well, you can at least use the free version to become at least somewhat proficient before you decide. I find that for most drawing tasks I don't need more than I could get with the free version. I use the pro version mostly for LayOut and the occasional CAD import or export.

Exactly like you said. I have both versions 2013 and 8. Because version 8 becomes default so doubleclicking on a file to open was giving errors about version. I didn't realize that I had 2 vesions installed Thanks for help, problem solved
