There's an extra trick with Glued/hole cutting components. If you insert a hole cutting component into another and if their glueing planes match, then you can cut two holes in a face, just a SINGLE face. You can't cut two faces wether or not they are coplanar.

Then draw a line for the flat. [image: h5bu_Screenshot-6_22_20166_27_32PM.png] Push/Pull to get rid of the waste. [image: r4jr_Screenshot-6_22_20166_27_56PM.png] Select the remainder of the offset edge and use Move/Copy to copy it to the opposite side. You could have used Offset on the other side as before but this is quick and easy, too. [image: MG0m_Screenshot-6_22_20166_28_24PM.png] Push/Pull the inner faces on both sides to make the post.

I'd bet those window components that behave that way are Dynamic Components. You can probably resize them via the component Options window from the Dynamic Components toolbar although it's also possible they've been designed so they can't be resized or can only be resized in limited ways.

I want to announce that the login problem is gone. I didn't do anything, in fact I didn't even use sketchup since i posted this issue... just today I tried again and it logged in. Seems the problem was at trimble's end... and is "nice" how they keep silence all the time...

Your profile shows SU2013, still. So you can look under User/App Data/Roaming/SketchUp... for materials folders. Or you might just try running a search for all folders with "material" in the name.

Argh so I now know what I've done wrong.. When I've typed in my formulas I've typed I've referenced other components in the bench which are common to both static & mobile benches. I'm now referencing everything back to the overall size of the parent component which I'm hoping will fix my issues...Tis a learning curve indeed. Thanks for the help.
