DC Timber Stud Wall

Hi,
I'm a complete newbie to DC's.
I'm trying to create a dynamic stud wall panel.
I've managed to be able to change the length of the wall using a drop down list and get it to add more studs the longer the wall gets but i want the studs spaced at centres and not at the LH edge.Is there a way of changing this without affecting the first stud? I've had a play about with the settings but when I get one thing right, another thing goes wrong.
