@joe wood said: Type your first line, then type \n, followed by the next line. When you finish editing it you'll see two lines of text. Go in and Edit one of the lines in this skippy and you'll see what I did. You can also put the \n in front of a line to drop the line down. I learned this on the original @Last forum. I hope alot of you didn't know this i must be doing something wrong as it did not work for me. i typed this: 1st line \n second line but the whole thing remained on the same line.

I tried that a few times, Alan. But, as you can see on the screenshots, there is usually a gap between the copied edges and the curve due to the way SU creates arcs. [image: OMJs_Screenshot2.jpg]

Hi Pilou, you can´t push or move this bike using the section cut method. But you can beam it up. This is the skp-file: beamingyourbike.skp Flash-Animation http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/sas/Tutorials/beamingyourbike.html

I have done a similal thing and made roof & wall sections at variuos roof pitches. The sections are a little over detailed so I can position them exactly where I want, but then I delete the internal bits of the roof construction that I dont need and normally just retain the perimeter (or group any brick veneer). I then copy and paste the perimeter of the floor slab to each group so I can use the tool to complete most of the work as seen here http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=13958&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=60#p109543 SECTIONS_Roof & Wall [image: kyUj_SECTIONS_RoofampWall.png]

I believe that you can make the same very more easily with the Morisdov plug Proper animation: the thread the plug (Plug installed) Make your door object Set some positions (Menu Plugins/Transformations/Set Position 1...): the number of position = the number of the scene! Create some scenes Enable Menu Plugins /Start Animation observer Play animation et voilà Of course the animation of the plug is independent of the Camera movement so crazy animations can be created If you load the file follow : just Enable Menu Plugins /"Start Animation observer" before launch Play Animation! revolving.skp

Chuck - good thread. Taiyo Yuden are generally very good discs, the best media in the world is Mitsui, but they are also more expensive too. Keep in mind as well that your computer displays more screen area of a DVD than a standard TV does - so when/if you create menus, make sure to leave a safe zone of about 8% (yes I just pulled that number out of my butt!) so that your text and graphics show on every screen. H.264/Mov files are not the way that you would ultimately like to go, when you create a DVD, you are outputting MPEG-2 - so better to keep it in that format if possible. Do NOT push your bitrate over 8MB/s, or it will not play on all machines - better to have it around 6 or 7 so that you don't get choppy playback on some machines. High Def. HD-DVD is not really a great idea - it is dying off, Blu-Ray is the way to go if that is really what you want to do. Best not to invest time and money into a dying format. In short HD-DVD has less capacity than Blu-Ray, the main issue though is with the data transfer rate. HD-DVD can only put out about 30MB/s of video (36MB/s total on disc) and Blu-Ray can put out 40MB/s (56MB/s total on disc) - also Blu-Ray isn't restricted on audio, and can go completely lossless - whereas HD-DVD is not as good a format for audio. Just a bit more info.

Hi Gidon. Ignore my PM to you I was able to download this today. Thanks for the help. The funny thing is I just used that technique for a wrap around graphic on a display, but I just didn't connect the scenarios. Cheers John (vonB)

Thanks Chris I skewed and cropped and squared up the image in PS, then imported and exploded per Alan's comments. Worked great. Getting the color to match was a bit tedious, but by messing with the values in the image editor, saving and reloading a few times, the textures on all the components updated instantly throughout. SU is amazing.... E
